The first permanent building built in the swan river colony, the oldest building in Western Australia. A popular visitor destination which is located at Arthur head in Fremantle about 3km away, or a short 5 minute drive or free CAT bus ride.

Iconic historic building (from convicts to whaling industry) which holds tours and has great view of Fremantle high street one side and bathers beach looking out to Rottnest on the other.

Can't miss this one. If you time it right, you can set off the 1pm gun to calibrate the ships' instruments. Was the first prison in Freo
