Juneau's busiest city park. The sand is a byproduct of crushed rock from the old mining days. Great place for a stroll. Be sure to walk through the trails past the log cabin shelters and check out the information plaques that tell you about the old mining days.

Sandy Beach trail is a lovely historic walk through mining ruins. Signage along the way explains the past. Easy to access via Capital Transit and a short walk.
