Tips from locals
This is an iconic 4th Avenue gift and book shop. It's always fun to peruse and has excellent gifts with free gift wrapping.
Artsy items, local business with a wonderful selection of books. At the far end of 4th Avenue.
this started as a feminist bookstore back in the 70s, i think it was. now has pretty much everything along with a big (and increasing) selection of gifts and book related merch. they often host readings, so check their schedule.
Wonderful, local book store. In addition to a great selection of books for every age group, they have quirky gifts.
Antigone Books is one of the country's longest running, independently-owned, feminist bookstores, offering a wide selection of books. And it's solar-powered! Great place to find postcards and little gifts, too.
