The most lovely place in all the world to light a candle and sit for a while.

The chapel when entering is an experience of its own. Its 4th century architecture gives it its mystical character. Surrounding the church are lovely bars and restaurants overlooking the church.

Beautiful romanesk church (Basilica Minor) with remnants of the old roman fortress worked in to the main tower.

Burning a candle: the entrance of the cathedral at the Onze Lieve Vrouweplein is built in the honour of our sacred Lady Sterre der Zee. The candles are real and will warm your hands and your soul. Believer or not, this place is magical.
