Why locals recommend it
The vibe here tends to be geared towards indie rock bands. The ones that I’ve played with here have all been some of my favorite people I’ve ever worked with in Los Angeles. Each Monday night for the entire month there will be a single band doing a residency. There are usually three or four opening bands, which change each week while the headliner stays the same. And this night is free, which is super rad.

Legendary music venue. You can sometimes see some great bands here, but not always. They have drinks if you need one or more.

Walk down 3 blocks, have dinner, hear some great Indie vibe bands, drink to your heart's content, smoke a legal joint, get a doughnut from the 7 and walk back to your Chillout Bungalow. Smile, satisfied that you are officially cooler because this is one of the US's coolest places to play, and you…

Great venue for listening to local LA performers. They have three bands playing almost every night. Entrance is usually around $8 only. Great dive where local people hang out.

“This is just a fantastic Taiwanese restaurant. They don't take reservations so you might have to stand in line for a bit but it is 100% worth it. It also happens to be very affordable. We recommend the Dan Dan Noodles, the scallion pancakes, the pot stickers and the 5 spice bamboo shoot salad.”
