Very large and well manicured cemetery with interesting architecture, beautiful plants, and a large pond. Great for morning or evening walks!

American Restaurant
“Forest Hills: Another good option on the other side of the station. Brick oven pizzas, great beer, pastas, burgers, salads, all good and moderately priced. A local hang out for some and you can either sit in the bar section or in the restaurant side. ”

New American Restaurant
“Probably my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. The food is incredibly imaginative: it skews French-American, though the chefs have eclectic selections that feature local, fresh and artisanal. Think seaweed tagliatelle: pasta of Maine coast kelp and dehydrated kale with cauliflower, a tomato-miso sauce and charred octopus. They offer tasting menus—available in omnivore, pescetarian and vegetarian formats—but everything is also a la carte. This isn't a cheap night out, mind you: this is the place to go for that special night out, that "it's our anniversary/your birthday" night out. You'll also be treated like royalty, with extraordinarily kind, accommodating service, which makes the delicious food go down all that much nicer. ”

Ice Cream Shop
“Can't go wrong with J.P. Licks ice cream. There are two local spots. Jamaica Plain is where you will find their 1st shop. You may also head over to JP Licks in Mission Hill/Tremont which is closer to our neighborhood”

“Charming Scottish gastro-pub, with good Old-Worlde food, weekend brunches, and occasional whisky-tasting events. Soccer games screened on weekends, but otherwise this is one of the most pleasantly TV-free pubs in Boston. Limited veg options.”

Harbour / Marina
“The 1.5-mile loop around the pond is a beautiful walk any time of year, and the nearest part of the stunning "Emerald Necklace" of parks and ponds encircling Jamaica Plain. Full of aquatic birds, turtles, and other animals; a 9-minute walk from home.”
