Carnivore-centric, French-Italian wine bar & butchery

A tribute to the old world European boucheries, The Butcher Shop is both a neighborhood wine bar and a full service butcher shop. Inspired by Chef Barbara Lynch’s travels throughout France and Italy, The Butcher Shop is the perfect place to have a glass of wine along with a small bite or linger over…

Excellent meat-centric menu, this intimate 10 table restaurant features great wines and meats and cheeses too. If you want to grab a drink and meet some locals, the butcher's table in back is fun. Reservations are recommended.

“Ken Oringer and Jamie Bisonette, two of Boston's best chef's created this cozy spot for delicious Italian small plates. Great outdoor patio. Try an Aperol spritz and the Italian grinder!”

Sandwich Place
“This tiny, unpretentious sandwich shop’s name says it all. Breakfast and lunch are the only options here, but when homemade soups, pressed sandwiches, and bagelwiches taste this good, who needs dinner? Just across the street from Boston Medical Center, Blunch is a popular destination for med students, faculty, and staff (you can even call in your order ahead). Try the Giving Tree, a scrumptious combination of smoked turkey, cheddar cheese, shaved green apples, honey Dijon dressing, and greens on multigrain bread, and top it off with one of the eatery’s oh-so-gooey triple chocolate chip cookies.”

“If you're the kind of person who would pay $20 for an uncooked, heirloom, grass-fed chicken at a Vermont farmers' market but would prefer to spend that same $20 on the same chicken, already cooked in BUTTER, this is your spot.”
