Totally worth the drive up the highway, the Dam Grill has a great menu and is right on the lock system at Gloucester Pool.

They have a great outdoor patio, that is right on the water. You can get here by boat or car. Watch the boats go through the lock while you eat and after dinner, go for an Ice Cream at the Ice Breaker right next door.
