Le Provencal has been around for many years. It's a consistently fabulous french restaurant run by a husband (genuine Frenchman) and wife (genuine Tasmanian) team who do all the cooking and service on their own. I have eaten there many times and never been disappointed. The menu doesn't change too often but it doesn't need to - it's always the perfect mix of traditional french dishes. One of my favourites is the steak with bernaisse sauce - you won't find a more perfectly cooked steak anywhere. You will also love the beautiful trompe l’oeil covered walls. Bookings essential (03) 6224 2526 open evenings only on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
