Tips from locals
This is an old holdover from the era of Western Addition diners. Reasonable prices for conventional breakfasts and endless cups of coffee in kitchy mugs. Very crowed on weekend mornings. No reservations or credit cards. No internet. Tables turn over quickly.
No-frills breakfast diner. It's been around for a very long time. Their coffee mugs are also fun! Go before 9:30am to beat the breakfast crowds.
Real American all-day-breakfast. I think they’re the last restaurant in the Bay Area who don’t take credit cards. They don’t have eggs Benedict. They don’t have espresso. It’s a time travel, you must try it.
Just at the corner is this old school soul food cafe with low prices and almost no wait. Cash only.
Diner-style breakfast place that has been a neighborhood staple for decades. There will be a line outside the door on weekends, but it goes really fast because the restaurant is that efficient!
