About this place
The Hob Nob was opened on March 12, 1957 by Mr. & Mrs. Jack Sohner, making it Sarasota's oldest drive-in at over 50 years old. Back in those days, it's present location at 1701 N. Washington Boulevard was nothing more than a dirt road. Now, it is US Highway 301 and will be six lanes very shortly.

This is THE ORIGINAL unchanged true Florida classic. Here you can get the best greasy fried onion rings, or my favorite, the tuna melt with bacon on toasted rye. Pure fifties, innocent decadence, road style. Heart of industrial Sarasota, one of the oldest remaining establishments. True Sarasota…

This place has been around since Harry Truman was president. Great burgers, shakes and fries. Classic American burger joint.
