Great BBQ with locations in Sylvan Park, 12 South & East Nashville. The pulled pork is fantastic, the brisket tacos are a delicious lunch special. They also make fantastic cocktails and have a very nice patio/deck with indoor/outdoor bar.

We love to hike the Mossy Ridge Trail. It's about 5 miles but offers a really nice view of the skyline in the distance from the top of a hill and includes the dripping springs.

Vanderbilt’s campus is really beautiful to walk around (it’s literally across the street from the apartment!) and is a national arboretum, so every tree that grows naturally in Tennessee is represented on campus.

There are lots of famous bars downtown on Broadway, and although I don’t spend much time on broadway anymore I think the Dueling Piano Bar and ACME feed and seed are pretty fun. I recently went to George Jones rooftop bar and it was great, with an excellent view.

The Santa Fe cornmeal pancakes with jalapenos and bacon sounds weird but is very good, and their classic pancakes are also great. There will be a line but it moves fast! I recommend getting there very early.
