“The House in the Forest I was really pleased with my choice to stay here. Christel and Hans were fabulous hosts. I really enjoyed having a whole accommodation to myself complete with separate entrance. Being in the forest was a nice change, but not far away from restaurants and sightseeing. If you like the trails, there's the Old Stone Road Trail. I would definitely stay there again. So my rating is based on my experience.”

“Toms cottage was an amazing stay, perfect for a couples getaway or for a small family. The cottage was spotless when we got there and he had everything that we needed for our stay. Plus, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything that you’d ever need! The interior decoration is really well done and the views of the backyard are breathtaking. Tom also left some firewood and kindling for us so that we could use the fire-pit in the back. Getting there was easy and the town is only a 10 minute drive away so if you forget anything there’s no need to worry. An added bonus was that his cottage is pet friendly so I got to bring my dog along and he had a blast. Lots of room for him to run around and the trans Canada trail is literally across the street from the cottage. The neighbours are friendly and the street is almost dead silent apart from the few cars that you might hear drive by. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful cottage right on the lake, and I would love to stay there again.”

“Kimberly is the definition of a "superhost." As Airbnb becomes more and more popular, it often begins to feel like an impersonal rental service; Kimberly was incredibly hospitable all the while ensure our privacy and comfort. The cabin was exactly as advertised, with lovely welcoming touches including wine and even dog treats for our dog who was traveling with us. We loved the outdoor shower, the fire pit (smore kits, marshmallow roasting sticks and fire side blankets included!) and BBQ. The beach was just a short walk away. And the outhouse was the nicest, cleanest outhouse I've ever visited! Solar lights line the property, giving it a whimsical feel. The cottage sits at the edge of a forested acreage, so, though you're not far from the main road, a sense of peaceful seclusion is ensured. The power went out in the neighborhood on our second night, and Kimberly thoughtfully ordered us a pizza; her hospitality made the weekend very special. Highly recommended! Just a short word about the previous review that was posted in July 2019; it's clear that the feelings of frustration brought up by the guest could have been avoided had she closely read the listing. Also, it's very clear that she was trying to squeeze some extra guests into the cottage, which is obviously completely inappropriate.”
