Welcome to the Federiciana house of Rocca Imperiale, it is located under the beautiful castle of Federico Secondo di Svevo. Rocca imperiale is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. We offer you the opportunity to sleep in a magical atmosphere and to taste the typical local breakfast. We are also affiliated with restaurants, beach facilities easily accessible by car or with the municipal shuttle near the house.
“We really enjoyed our stay at Maria's. The house and setting is more beautiful than what the pictures show. We were overwhelmed by the natural beauty of the location. Maria's mom , Stella, made us a lovely big breakfast. Her custard and jam tarts were amazing. The kids really enjoyed the breakfast. My little one was very sad to leave as he really bonded with Stella and loved the breakfast. We would stay here again.”
The house is located at the foot of the castle of Federico Secondo di Svevo, in an area where silence and nature are the protagonists! It is composed of a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom! Waking up in a medieval atmosphere is a unique experience. The furniture is antique, it feels like sleeping in a museum
“Maria Antonietta’s house is wonderful - it’s very spacious and clean with two floors and two balconies and the most beautiful view over the rooftops and hills around Rocca Imperiale and the sea beyond. The best part is the silence - it’s so peaceful. Her mother, Stella, was the most gracious host; very kind and she even accommodated my vegan diet by making vegan biscotti for breakfast. The town is beautiful, very quaint winding streets with beautiful old houses. We stayed only one night but wish I could stay longer. We will definitely return.”
Lovely two-room apartment recently renovated. The apartment is part of a rustic house immersed in a beautiful olive grove, on a hill, with views on sea and mountains. Ideal for nature and countryside lovers. Privacy guaranteed.
“The house makes a good impression in the pictures, but the original is just beautiful: a spacious apartment in a farmhouse, surrounded by countless olive trees. The view from the apartment on sea and mountains is fantastic. Here one lives rural and quiet and can listen in the distance in the morning at eight and in the evening to the carillon of the "Dorfkathedrale" (because a small chapel and the Westminster bells from the band for me a funny anecdote). For excursions to nearby Rossano (nice old town and the UNESCO cultural treasure Codex Purpureus are a must) the location is ideal. Also, the nearby Strada Statale 106 Jonica and the highway make further trips to Cosenza or the magnificent Sila Mountains easily possible, without the otherwise often dreaded Italian roads with "cheese-hole pattern". And very close to the deep blue sea - here everyone will find his desired place - with or without "beach chair and parasols" - on the shallow pebble beach. On our arrival we were expected at the agreed meeting point and drove to the somewhat hidden holiday home. There the whole family greeted us warmly and showed us the property - as we could not speak Italian, even the son was there to interpret the whole thing in English - a very nice gesture. The house had everything we needed, beds covered, a couple of towels and even two bathrobes were at hand. In the fridge were already 3 bottles of water and for dinner they credited us their self-harvested olive oil as a gift. Nicola and his family were kindly endeavored for our well-being and we were able to communicate further through this page thanks to the translation program. On the other hand, they were not intrusive and allowed us absolute freedom in their beautiful house. The handover and scheduling went smoothly and flexibly and on leaving we realized that we will miss the quiet atmosphere, the sunny breakfast and the delicious wine as a nightcap on the terrace. The friendly hug goodbye showed us that we were welcome.”
