Spurrell’s Heritage Home is a 4 Star Canada Select Beachfront Vacation Home. Situated on the land his Great Grandmother Spurrell bought in 1930, owner Dustin Spurrell has recreated a vacation home that has been said to be the best kept secret around. The original house was torn down in 1968. In later years, a barn-shed was converted into a 1 bedroom cabin for Dustin's late Grandmother Sarah Spurrell. In 2010, Dustin opened Spurrell's Heritage Home as a tribute to his families past.
“Spurrell’s Heritage house is really a fantastic place to stay and enjoy both the house stay and the location “Literally is a hidden gem” The Location (really great escape) : - We were lucky to be there at this time of the year (July.2020) , apparently this location considered as feeding pool for whales which can be visible and hearable from the house. - the beach is almost private and kids have enjoyed it a lot .Also, we had a chance to have a nice chat with locals and fishermen around. - Trinity is almost 10 min drive and many activities can be done there specially, whale watching zodiac trip (really recommend to go with “Sea of Whales” they are fantastic ) The House (So Spiritual and Cozy) : - View from home to mountains and ocean are breathtaking , waves sounds are so relaxing (Great blend of modern and NL Antiques) - Interiors are really neat , well decorated (love it) and everything was well maintained - outdoor fire pits was really awesome and generous firewood available there with proper outdoor seats (rocking chairs was so nice) - Nice home entertainments are available (kids loved it) and WIFI internet was perfect (weak mobile coverage. However, landline is available) - A lot of tips and local attraction brochures are available in house On top of all that , Dustin is such a really nice person and always reachable. Definitely we would love to stay at Spurrell’s house again (loved all inside out)”

“Beautiful, clean and cozy cottage retreat in an ideal location. It has everything we needed plus a beautiful view of Trinity and Port Rexton, as well as a couple icebergs. Like a home away from Home. Great hosts with quick replies. It’s close to many of our planned activities such as Random Passage, Fort Point lighthouse, abandoned Trinity Loop, hiking the Skerwink, beautiful Trinity and Rattle Falls. We would highly suggest staying here and we will definitely be back.”
Champney's West is a stunning outport community and is part of 12 communities that make up Trinity Bight.. The Fox Island trail goes by the Sea Loft. Champney's West is a community well known for its strong sense of community and hospitality. Google Champneys's West days and its become a fun filled weekend in August. The Rising Tide theater is 10 km away. The Port Rexton Brewery is 4 km away. I have had some Pet owners not follow rules of house. Regretfully, I am no longer pet friendly
“Beautiful spot for a nice get out of town weekend(or weekday) in the evenings we did the trail that's close by to take in the beauty of the community. The front deck is a lovely place to sit at night with a beer or glass of wine, and watch the sunset. In the morning, grab your coffee and plunk your butt outside and watch the sunrise ! Very close by to the skerwink trail in Port Rexton, and a perfect distance to Bonavista ! We really enjoyed our little family get away. 10/10 will recommend this spot to friends and family ! Cheers”
