Private guest suite nestled on the White Salmon River. This rustic 450-square-foot suite includes a queen sized bed, couch, table and chairs. Situated on ten acres of wild vegetation, the suite enjoys mountain views and private access to the river. Once a museum built to house primitive homesteading tools, it has been renovated into a cozy space which integrates original rustic building materials with new amenities and a private bathroom.
“If you're seeking limelight & shiny & neon lights & excitement.. head elsewhere. This space is custom tailored for RELAXATION & ditching the outside world. The cabin is rustic as can be but cleaner than a 5 star hotel.. from the plethora of hot drink choices to the stacks of extra blankets & years of great old National Geographic magazines there is literally zero reason to leave each morning if being comfortable & relaxing is your thing! These hosts know how to put it all together for travelers including a super comprehensive "things to do" book... We really can not say enough good about this spot!”
The cottage is located on its own 28-acre field at the base of Mt. Adams. We are the farmers next door (ok, with day jobs). The farming part is a work in progress. But while we are having fun figuring it all out, you may enjoy our spare home. It’s just a small cabin with a triple-wide view of the mountain. A great place to rest and rejuvenate or launch your next adventure. Please no smoking, anywhere.
“This little cottage is a fantastic refuge, for those seeking some solitude, away from the hustle and bustle. The photos in the description of course don’t do the view any justice. The place itself is cozy, sparkling clean, and simple, but everything you need is available. There are great nearby hikes recommended by Steph (the longer Buck Creek hike was wonderful) and the real unexpected gem was the huge nature preserve connected to the property. We were able to walk around the meadows with our pup, and watch the herd of elk from a distance, while listening to throngs of birds and frogs from the nearby wetland (Trout Lake). So not only are you on 28 acres with a view of Mt. Adams right in front of you (weather dependent), there’s tons of room to walk around the fields, even if you never want to leave the property. Communication was friendly and prompt. We were able to have all the privacy we wanted, and simply relax. As soon as we are able, we intend to return to enjoy the slower pace, beauty, peace and quiet.”
This charming Tiny House is in the heart of Cave Creek Farm at the end of a gravel road in Trout Lake. The Tiny House is for those looking for a Glamping experience without being too far away from amenities. The shared Bathhouse, complete with a flushing toilet, is just steps away from your front door. You can enjoy hot showers indoors and out, along with a bath in our claw foot tub under the trees.
“Our stay in the Trout Lake tiny house was just a dream. It's the sweetest space -- cosy, thoughtfully laid out, just right for two for a romantic getaway. Trout Lake itself was a wonderful surprise for us, just a stunning setting. And Nicole was such a gracious host -- she really made us feel welcome and had lovely suggestions for our time. We'd come back in a flash!”
