“Best BnB I’ve experienced. There were so many treats that we didn’t expect, but greatly appreciated. The studio had ample space, yummy snacks, thoughtful touches, and local tips. Upon entry Jen and Steve had a welcome sign with our names on it, fresh flowers, a lovely card, and passes to the community center (PCR). Everywhere you look there were treats! We especially appreciated the fridge/freezer and washer/dryer after a long day of halibut and salmon fishing. Jen and Steve showed us the place, and checked in to ensure we had what we needed, which we did. They surprised us with pastries one evening and warm cookies another. Overall, I couldn’t ask for more and I hope to stay with them again.”

“I cannot rave enough about how wonderful Susan's home is at Alexandria House in Unalaska, AK. A year ago I was fortunate enough to get a sneak preview of this lovely home, and immediately I asked Susan if it was available to stay for my Honeymoon. I knew instantly when I saw it and felt the warmth, coziness and incredibly, peaceful feeling that I wanted it for my Honeymoon. I surprised my new bride by bringing her there after our Wedding, and she was awestruck. Our Honeymoon could not have been better. Susan surprised us with so many "extra" romantic touches she so carefully and thoughtfully placed throughout the home. We were left speechless with gratitude and amazement. The peaceful setting, spectacular view, and so many details I can't even begin to list them all with the quality and character of workmanship that the Honans have lovingly put into establishing Alexandria House just blow you away. It is truly that amazing! We also experienced several firsts for both my wife and I. We were furnished with luxurious bath robes, and there is nothing like coming out of a hot bath in a wintry mountain setting, stepping into the luxury of a bath robe and then finding the bed pre-heated with amazing electric blankets! Top that off with an awesome assortment of organic herbal teas, and life doesn't get any better! The next morning we walked at sunrise along the beach 100 feet out the front door, then had an amazing breakfast at an Asian restaurant across the street, another 100 feet away. We then made our way to the community indoor swimming pool about a block away and enjoyed a wonderful session in the sauna. Our walk home from the sauna took us along Iliuliuk Creek/River where we watched Silver salmon spawning by the hundreds less than 50 feet from us and watched several dozen bald eagles casually perched 6 feet above our heads as they waited for the perfect moment to seize their next meal in the river below. A lifetime of amazing, incredible experiences all before 10 am. We made it to a church service at the nearby United Christian Fellowship Church (UCF) another short walk from the home. The pastor there was so inspiring, captivating and uplifting ... even the service was another amazing experience for us. I could go on and on. This Honeymoon stay for us at Alexandria House in Dutch Harbor and Unalaska was one of the most memorable and treasured experiences of my lifetime, and my wife says the same. We can't wait to come back and stay again! I am certain our anniversary will be spent here. Dutch Harbor is out of the way and off the beaten path, but you will not regret the trip and experiences you enjoy if you make the trip! We will never forget it. And locals, don't miss this hidden treasure right under your eyes as the most fantastic weekend getaway you can find!”
