Horseback Riding in East Zion
This tour combines two of Southern Utah's most popular activities: exploring scenic slot canyons and horseback riding. First we will climb into the saddle at the stables and conduct a brief riding lesson for the inexperienced riders. No need to worry if you are a beginner, we have years of experience and reserve the best trained horses for our guests. Our ride will take us to the mouth of a beautiful slot canyon where we will dismount and walk a short distance into the canyon. This incredible sandstone formation is very narrow with walls towering several hundred feet high on either side. East Zion is the home to world class slot canyons that can be found nowhere else! Following this stop, riders will again get in the saddle and ride back to the starting point. You will be led by a local guide with years of horse riding experience that will also share the rich cowboy history of small town Orderville that continues to live on today. We hope all of our guests are able to have an experience that is long lasting and impactful. We believe this is achieved when we can connect with guests in Entertaining, Educational, and Emotional ways. This is a great activity that is one of our most popular among guests. Don't miss your chance to horseback ride in East Zion! Saddle Up!
Stargazing over Zion National Park
Did you know 80% of people living in North America have never seen the Milky Way? We are here to change that! From our secluded ranch the night sky is vibrant and awe inspiring. We hope to share this emotional experience with guests, and leave a long lasting impression on you and your family. Our ranch is an ideal setting away from city lights. Here you can separate yourself from the lights of the world and see beyond to the lights of our universe. It is hard to describe in words what you feel when gazing upon rings of Saturn or craters of the moon in clear, up close detail. The tour begins on property at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. You will be guided step by step through a world larger than us all. We will take a short walk from the East Zion Adventures rec center up to our observation platform using red lights to safely walk the path while preserving our eyes for gazing the night sky. Please keep in mind that our group sizes can be somewhat large. During the tour you have access to a drink bar of warm cider, hot chocolate, and tea. Your stargazing guide will teach you about the makeup of the sky including star constellations, the moon, planets, shooting stars, satellites and the milky way. Through our high powered telescope you will have the opportunity to view all of these in an unforgettable and emotional setting. Don't miss this special experience.

Date Night Hand Making Rings
This is a hands-on class where guests will be taking metal and shaping it into jewelry. I’ll provide enough silver and/or copper for each guest to make a ring or a set of earrings. We’ll spend a short time going over safety and then you’ll have to decide what you want to make. I’ll provide examples of already made jewelry to use as templates if guests need ideas. By the end of the session each guest will have a piece of handmade jewelry to take home with them. Some date night couples like to make rings for each other instead of making jewelry for themselves. Other things to note Bring your eyeglasses. Come prepared to get your hands dirty and dress appropriately.

East Zion Horseback Adventure
Escape from the crowds and saddle up on an exclusive horseback adventure that takes you up the same canyon that the Legendary John Wesley Powell Expedition first explored in the area. Known for its seemingly unlimited supply of natural water springs, Your Cave Lakes Canyon Trail Ride starts in the lush meadows and meanders along 300 ft red rock canyon walls into hidden lakes carved deep into the rock. You will experience Cave Lakes Canyon just like the early explorers. Untouched and unrivaled. Upon arrival at the base of the canyon’s horse corral, you'll get to know your horse by name and meet our experienced horse guide who will saddle you up and help you feel comfortable on your new trail partner. As you tap into your inner cowboy/cowgirl and meander through the canyon on our gentle giants; take in the sights and sounds of nature. You’ll discover hidden gems like ponds made from natural springs, hidden cave lakes, seeping red rock walls, original markings from early explorers, and a cinematic grassy meadow you won’t soon forget! The two hour experience includes about 1.5 hours of riding and another half hour to mount/dismount and getting to know your horse. You'll leave with a new found appreciation for the west and a dreamy horse riding experience to check off your list in the Kanab/Zion area.
Zion Cliffs Sunset Jeep Tour
This tour departs from the Thunderbird Lodge just before sunset. Be sure you arrive on time! After a short drive on the highway, the off-road adventure begins! This tour travels to a similar destination as the Red Canyon Jeep Tour, with incredible sweeping views of Zion National Park's remote backcountry. The 4x4 Jeep ride will never disappoint as your skilled guide maneuvers the trail. After this scenic drive through the red rock desert, the trail ends at a western facing viewpoint just in time to watch the sun descend behind the cliffs of Zion National Park. From this breathtaking location, views of the West Temple, Parunuweap Canyon, Elephant Gap, and other major Zion landmarks are visible. Just below this spot is the route the first explorers originally traveled while discovering the area! This is deep in the backcountry of Zion, and these views are shared only with your party. Free from crowds and interruption. After taking in the scenery and capturing the experience with plenty of photos, the tour continues again in the Jeep. After an exciting Jeep ride and another stop at a viewpoint, the tour returns to the Thunderbird Lodge. This experience is sure to be the highlight of your trip!

I'll be right there every step of the way to help you feel comfortable and have the best experience possible.
