This was an unforgettable stay in many ways! First of all, the location. Yes, it is remote but you get so much in return. Peace, serenity and surrounded by stunning nature. The lodges (there are only 3) are clean and spacious with some really nice details and cosy interior. It does get quite warm during the nights in summer. To cool off we loved enjoying the plunge pool or the outdoor shower! But Sydney - who basically takes care of everything when you’re staying at the lodge - made our stay even better. He works hard, always with a big smile and so kind.

Lovely stay at this beautiful, old little house. There was plenty of space and we loved sitting out in the front garden. The restaurant nearby was great and convenient, pizza was delicious. Loved the history and authenticity of the house. Lovely little touches of the period it was built in. We didn't sleep well unfortunately, due to the roof expansion in the night (we assume). It kept waking us up, but we are light sleepers and this can't really be helped. For someone not travelling with little ones, I'm sure earplugs would have easily solved this for a solid night's sleep. The electric blankets were wonderful and kept us warm. The parking in front of the house was very convenient for packing and unpacking easily. Very chuffed that we found this spot. Thank you, Monique.

The place is absolutely stunning. Very clean very well maintained with ample parking the town its self is very friendly and very welcoming we will defiantly visit again. Amazing views all around.

Tineke was an amazing host. We enjoyed our stay at Knapdaar. Tineke went out of her way to make everything perfect. She welcomed us and made us feel at home. A great plus was fresh farm eggs and milk. We had great walks on the farm, the boys enjoyed the freedom. We will definitely be back.

Very comfortable stay in a clean, modern, and spacious apartment for an overnight. Big thanks to Michelle for accommodating my late check-in and for the frequent comms leading up to the stay. Exceptional value for money and highly recommend!

An authentic African experience. We felt like a voortrekker nestled on the side of the Orange River, the setting is absolutely beautiful and unique. The home itself is very comfortable and spotless, we watched safely from the living room as the sun came up and the bats had their last frenzy before the light got bright and the birds started chirping. was an amazing way to experience Africa.

The brightes blue of our beautiful african skies coloured by a bright yellow early spring sun, sometimes warm reds and then hues of purple bringing a sence of peace that heals the subconscious in a way the words will never be able to descripe. Dusty Vines is an incredible place to stay over. A well restored heritage building, neat , clean and tastefully furnished. very spacious with space for large families. Well located along the best street in town opposite the Karoo Artists Cafe. Carin who manages the house was so welcoming, warm and friendly. A great experience and a wonderful town to visit. Michael.
