It is part of the original 1895 Farmhouse and features beautiful heartwood pine floors, an enchanting en-suite and a lovely king size iron bed that laces a window capturing dancing pines and the ever changing sky.
“This place is a tucked away paradise. We absolutely enjoyed our time at The Crane’s nest. The whole house was beautifully renovated. It is about a mile walk to the beach. It’s quiet and absolutely beautiful. The price was great for all that you get. James was a wonderful host and had coffee for us every morning. They also have OJ, eggs and snacks throughout the kitchen for the guests. We loved this place. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay here again!”

“Visiting Wittsend was an all-around wonderful experience for our family. Our children were enthralled by the animals - as were we! - and Connie was such a warm and helpful hostess. My son is scared of dogs, but he even warmed up to the dogs a bit while we were there because everything felt so safe and comfortable. The reservoir is within walking distance, and there is a 7-mile trail for nature enthusiasts, as well as fun stuff to do in town for families with kids. It's worth checking out the Gloucester library! And eat all the eggs. They are worth heating up that hot plate every morning. There was nothing about this trip I disliked. It was all wonderful. We will be back.”
