“Dropped in to stay the night and see the stars on our drive home while on a road trip. The accommodation was comfortable and our hosts were great. We had dinner in town and once night had fallen we had the opportunity to do some stargazing with Gary. Although it was cloudy, Gary did his best to show off what the night sky had on offer. It was a great experience. A lovely breakfast was put on for us in the morning, which was a nice touch and a good opportunity for a bit of a chat. All in all, a nice spot to stop instead of dropping in to a motel. Thanks to our hosts for a lovely stay!”

“Wow. 5*+++++ We stayed 2 nights at Barkala Farmstay in June 2019. This place is a real hidden treasure... everyone is so hospitable, cooking tasty meals, recommending a great bushwalk for us and just generally being super friendly. This is not the right place if you’re looking for somewhere luxurious - the bathrooms are shared and the guesthouse is more homely than ultra-modern but that was absolutely perfect for us - we wanted something authentic, fairly remote and beautiful - and that it was. Thank you for everything! Oh and definitely eat dinner in the cafe one night - delicious food and wine.”
