Mulberry House is a charming, self-contained one bedroom cottage, warm and cosy in the depths of winter and bright and airy through the summer months. Unfortunately the cottage is not suitable for pets or children but ideal for a romantic getaway or simply as a base to enjoy the delights of the Clare Valley. Step back in time and enjoy the wonderful ambience of Mulberry House.
“Lynn has gone above and beyond with Mulberry House. The cottage is beautifully styled, with modern amenities and everything you could possibly need. The provisions were endless, with a breakfast option for everyone. The cheese and wine were a lovely touch which we greatly appreciated! Fabulous location and highly recommend walking over to Crabtree for a wine tasting and a chat. Lynn was a fabulous host, always willing to go above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. I won’t be looking anywhere else in the Clare Valley - can’t wait to return!”
Not your ordinary BnB, read the whole listing to fully appreciate what’s in store! Our beautiful 1850's cottage has been lovingly restored and renovated, now offering modern facilities while retaining its old charm and warmth. A short distance from the town of Watervale, its quiet seclusion offers you a private experience to share with family and friends, yet close enough to local townships for easy access to shops, hotels, bakeries, art galleries, antique stores and of course, famous wineries.
“Communication was very quick and helpful with detailed instructions on how to get into the property and suggestions/recommendations on where to go and where to eat. The property is ideally situated to explore the Clare Valley and is in a very quiet location in the country. Dean and Duc have furnished the cottage very thoughtfully including leafy displays in vases, playing cards, balls for our small dog, games and a good selection of DVDs. The provisions they left for breakfast were extremely generous and lasted us at least two days. There was a wonderful selection in the fridge and pantry and a full fruit bowl was an additional treat which was really appreciated. The garden was lovely to sit in, with a lit covered area ideal for eating out. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would very much recommend staying here.”
Our much-loved cottage is located on the River Wakefield in the hamlet of Undalya, at the gateway to the Clare Valley wine region. Recently renovated, it’s a comfortable one-bedroom home with wonderful views of the historic basket bridge. Our 120-hectare property is on your doorstep, with kangaroos and abundant bird life along the river and in our wooded hills, and the river pools are home to brown trout and redfin. Great for couples and solo travellers, and dogs are welcome inside and out.
“A well appointed 'home' this cottage has everything you need for a week's stay. The kitchen is stylish and functional and the large shower has lots of hot water. A very efficient wood fire and plenty of wood keeps the cottage cozy whilst you sit inside watching the weather pass over the surrounding countryside. A comfortable bed, touch lamps, games in the cupboard and coffee options made this a relaxing, quiet and enjoyable break from real life.”
