Hidden in the woods

Quiet, country setting that comfortably accommodates two. This space is above our garage, which is not attached to our house. We have lots of chickens, curious cats and a couple of friendly goats. We are often outside working or playing, but the apartment is very private once you are upstairs!! There is NO WiFi here. There IS a lovely, private balcony with a nice view, lots of movies, and fun games. Verizon service works great here, so if you have a Hotspot you could hook up to our smart TV.

The Suite is a cozy place to rest from your travels or stay while you visit family/friends. Away from the bustle of downtown, yet only a 10 minute drive to all the venues in the Grand Rapids downtown area. It’s a small but well stocked suite , self contained space in the front of our home. Tanger Outlet is 1 mile away for convenient shopping. There are a number of restaurants close to choose from. Continental breakfast provided ( plant based) hot/cold cereal, bread, fruit, coffee bar.

Bird's Nest Cozy Farm Getaway

The Birds Nest is an above-the-garage studio apartment with a view of the valley and our working farm. Located at the end of a quiet dirt road, our 36 acres provide a respite for the body and soul with trails and vistas, and engage the mind in sustainable agriculture with a discount on our Farm Tour & Tasting. Our water is from a well. It is tested regularly and is completely safe though it can have a sulfur smell at times. There is an RO filter/faucet in the kitchen for drinking water.

In 2019 my husband and I set out to renovate this old pool house into a self-sustainable apartment or tiny home in our backyard. Whether you came here to rest & revive or to explore there is plenty to be had! The gazebo has a nearby compostable toliet (shared with other guests), and just a 1 minute walk on a path in the woods to the main house (where the full bathroom is that can be used 9am-8pm).
