Vacation rentals with a firepit in Wengen

Heidi’s place was a wonderful escape from the hustle bustle of modern life. Time really stands still amongst the mountains around Lungern. We had access to wonderful walks and hikes starting from the house. The house is spacious with enough space for our family of 8 to spread out. Our kids had a good time looking at the farm animals. One thing to note - The ceilings are a bit low so we had to mind our heads a bit and our elderly parents had to be careful not to stumble over the door still. Heidi was wonderfully hospitable, always willing to answer questions and accommodate requests.

Schöne authentische Hütte. Alles war sehr sauber und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Gut ausgestattete Küche, sogar für Fondue und Raclette. Ein Schlepplift ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar.

Everything that needs to be said have already been written by other guests. And I wholeheartedly agree!! We loved everything about the cottage! The location, the views, the garden, everything was just perfect! Regula and Sascha built the cottage themselves and they thought of and included all the comforts of home!! Their hospitality was top-notched! A 5-star hotel could take lessons from them. They met us at the train station to help with our luggage and to show us how the bus works. They also gifted us a bus pass to use during our stay. The bus stop is a mere 3 minutes from the cottage, slightly up the hill. And on our last day, they came to bid us farewell (and helped with our luggage to the bus stop). They are wonderful people. While the views, location and comforts of the cottage were perfection, Regula and Sascha were the stars! They are genuinely wonderful people and that’s what makes them special.

Wir waren zwei Wochen mit Hund und Kind im Hexenhüsli und haben alles, was es für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht, vor Ort gefunden. Der Ort ist wunderschön, die Nachbar*innen sehr freundlich und das Hüsli sehr gemütlich. Das Heizen mit dem Ofen bringt eine besondere Atmosphäre. Die Betreuung von Lehmanns und Frau Schwarzentrub ist absolut vorbildlich. Wir haben noch etwas vergessen und auch da haben sie uns sehr zuvorkommend behandelt.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful traditional Swiss chalet. The surroundings were stunning, and the location was perfect for our road trip. The chalet was cozy, well-equipped, and full of charm. Our host was incredibly warm and helpful — thank you for the great hospitality!

Séjour très agréable, chalet super calme en plein dans la nature, entouré de beaux paysages. Peu de réseau, mais ça nous a donné une bonne occasion de se déconnecter. L’intérieur est cosy, simple et un peu rustique mais chaleureux, on s’y sent très bien (on a particulièrement apprécié le poêle, qui était un peu la star de notre séjour). Avec la neige, impossible de monter jusqu’au chalet en voiture, mais Daniel est venu nous aider à transporter nos affaires sur les 200m restants avec son 4x4, donc aucun souci d’accès au chalet.

This place is amazing for families with young kids ( 1 to 13 years). The concept is great and so is the view. The house is very tastefully made & the host is kind and helpful. I highly recommend it for families looking for a unique getaway.

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable chez Christian. Le chalet, doté d'une belle âme, s'est révélé être l'endroit idéal pour accueillir notre grande famille de 10 personnes. Les enfants se sont amusés à jouer ensemble dans le chalet, créant de précieux souvenirs. Nous avons également eu le plaisir de profiter pleinement du majestueux lac Noir, situé à moins de 10 minutes en voiture, un lieu qui nous est cher. Bien que l'accès en voiture pour arriver au Chalet soit un peu difficile, il mène à un endroit paisible et tranquille, offrant une vue splendide. La disponibilité et la réactivité de Christian ont été grandement appréciées, tout comme le fait que le chalet soit parfaitement équipé. Un grand MERCI.

If it’s available just book it.. if not available just change ur dates 😊… The place is very scenic, gives u a view of snow-covered mountains, small villages are very beautiful. We love the drive from village to the house The host, Urs and Peter, are very welcoming and friendly. We fell in love with Bella🩷 she is such a cute n lovable dog. The house it very well maintained with all amenities. Perfect location for a person who loves to stay with the nature. All these made our visit to Swiss most memorable one. We would love to visit again. Thanks Urs for hosting us and we love the stay…

Everything about our stay was great! There were clear check in/out instructions, and we had no problem finding anything! We walked everywhere (max 20ish mins), so the location was good. The host went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth and memorable as possible. You can tell she put a lot of thought for her guests!

Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Chalet, sehr nette Gastgeber. Schöne und ruhige Lage im Wallis. Entspannung pur. Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür. Empfehlenswert 👍😊

+ Very easy check in and out + Had everything you can think of.. and even more! + Kitchen was complete and had equipment for traditional swiss food, pots, pans, etc. + The big rooms and bathrooms were modern and the smaller rooms had the traditional swiss chalet style + Bedcovers, linen, towels were provided + Complimentary nespresso capsules - Parking can only be around 2 cars in front of the location. - Dining table did not fit our group but we used the table from the balcony as a solution Thank you for the easy and smooth rental!

We had a wonderful stay at Astrid's place. The driving directions were clear and easy to follow, and my Apple Maps matched her instructions perfectly. The home itself exceeded our expectations—it was even better than the pictures! Astrid thoughtfully provided a variety of toys, which our kids absolutely loved. When my wife felt unwell during our stay, Astrid kindly offered some medicine, which we truly appreciated. Her attentiveness and care made our stay especially relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend for families travelling with children

Chalet de montagne confortable et bien équipé pour se reposer et vivre une belle expérience dans la nature ! Chemin d’accès difficile suite à la tempête. Ceci étant, nous retournerons avec plaisir passer quelques jours là bas

Celine was a great host, among other things she stayed up late when we had train delays to ensure we got checked in okay and she could show us around. Area is beautiful and easy bus links to anywhere you need to go, the guest passes you can get are useful to use. The shared spaces were always pretty clean and tidy. Great place to stay if you want somewhere more private and out of the town centre.

Five Stars!!! This is the 2nd time we book this place as extremely perfect for large groups! It is surrended by green and very close to the city. A BBQ spot is in the air also 😎😎😎

Erich war ein toller Gastgeber, sehr offen, freundlich,kommunikativ und hilfsbereit. Eine besondere Persöndlichkeit. Der Spycher war ein Stück Himmel einfach ein Schmuckstück. Wir haben es sehr genossen und werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Danke Erich für diesen Ort, fenn fu geschaffen hast.

Le Spycher est un lieu magnifique et ressourçant. La vue est incroyable et les environs calmes et reposants. L‘emplacement est idéal, proche de Berne et de Thoune. De belles randonnées (Panorama Weg) sont à quelques kilomètres en voiture. Un lieu à part que nous recommandons!
