Barrio de Santo Tomás Xochimilco, known as Xochimilco, was founded in 1486 by mexicas soldiers, it´s name means "place of flowers" since it is located on the skirts of Cerro del Fortin where azucenas (traditional local flower) grew in bunches. This is a colonial and traditional place. Walking along it´s streets is a pleasure and walking to the zocalo from here, a 15 to 20 min. will take you to many places of interest, for those who enjoy nature, cerro del fortin is 5 min. away from the house.

Me Encanta Jalatlaco - Cozy Hideway

The property is located in Jalatlaco, one of the safest and most calm neighborhoods in Oaxaca. The bungalow has its own bathroom, a queen size bed, ceiling fan and air conditioning as well as a small kitchenete. The room is separate of the main house by the patio and garden. I live in the main house with my daughter and my two dogs . In the property I also have other small room for rent, this is just for one person and it is located in the same patio area.

El barrio de Xochimilco es muy tradicional donde se ubican varias familias artesanas , restaurantes, tiendas y negocios locales Caminando llegas al centro en 10 min. estamos atrás de la iglesia así que el 2-3 de junio y 7 de octubre hay festejos de la iglesia . Encontrarás feria en la calle o escuchar pirotecnia en la noche por las celebraciones.
