It is a typical house in the ancient village of Gallipoli, with kitchen, kitchenette, bathroom with shower, washing machine, TV, air conditioning and a balcony overlooking the sea. The apartment is located in the most popular area of the old city. Very close to restaurants, commercial activities, it is also a stone's throw from the beach and a few meters from the port parking area. 4 beds with double bed and sofa bed. Tel.3470530561
“Mario’s house is very well located in the old town (centro storico), about a 10-minute walk to the beach. The apartment feels homey, authentic and has all the necessary equipment to cook and other things you might need. Everything works as it should and Mario was readily available if needed. At the time of writing, the pictures don’t do justice to the apartment. The only downside is that the bed is a bit soft for my taste. All in all, a great stay.”
My house is not very big but it is very cozy. There is also a fireplace in the kitchen where you can roast meat or fish and then there are three TV sets located in the kitchen one in the living room and one in the bedroom equipped with a system doblò surround with dvd player there the possibility to have a nice hot shower and the bathroom is complete with bidet. the food is homemade there is also a croissant where to warm up the homemade stale bread. There is a large room with a living room that becomes a bed.
“An experience like no other is how I would describe in a short manner the stay at Gianluca’s. I had a long stay, just over 2 months. Before arriving, the communication was very good and easy. I was welcomed at the train station with what would be my personal bike for the stay as well which was a really great thing and a definite excellent point in staying at his house. The house is in the middle of the town , so perfect to walk around the small town and about 5 to 10 mins walk to the train station (train are regularly going to Brindisi or Lecce and takes about 15 mins and cost 1 euro something). The house is a one bedroom, one living room also used as sleeping room, kitchen, toilet/shower and a backyard. Really nice little house with an authentic rustic decorum. Gianluca has been very friendly throughout the stay and welcomed me in his house alongside one of his friend living there at the time. We also had a little lively dog keeping us entertained. We were later joined by another guest living in the house for my last couple of weeks there. A busy place filled with talking, some good cooking, some not bad singing and some other, what I would call, sounds of life in Italy… House was clean. Old style house but kept and improved during my stay with new furniture/white goods and paint. Gianluca was keen on feedback on how to improve his guest’s stay and experience. If you are after a quiet, peaceful place, then that is not the place for you. If you are after a taste of life happening at all hours then you might enjoy it. We shared plenty of meal times, different cooking recipes, enjoyed barbecuing in the countryside and what else. I learnt a bit of Italian, had a good base to explore the south and coast of Puglia, had a good bike to discover the countryside around Squinzano. Price for the stay was fair. If you have a car then moving around Puglia will be easy and it will save you money from staying on the expensive coast towns.”

“Before booking to Marco's house, we noticed the amount of positive comments about him but we didn't imagine he would have been so kind! We received a fabulous welcome with a fresh drink and chating with him was like we have been friend from a lifetime! The room we stayed in was very welcoming, inside we found a map of the city and several tips on where to eat and what to visit. I advise you to go to Marco's house because it is not just a place to sleep but here you can find a real sense of sharing and hospitality! The best host I have ever had in my whole life. Thank you Marco, see you soon!”
