There are a variety of shopping opportunities for everyday needs, several doctors and pharmacies, a hairdresser, a gas station, an indoor swimming pool and a riding facility. You can explore the environment by hiking (some nice geocaching-trails here), or visit the Harz mountains or some towns like Goslar, Hildesheim, Bad Gandersheim.
