Vacation rentals with a firepit in Alpena County

Getting off work and being able to relax with the view of the lake was a great highlight of our time here. Definitely a great place to stay.

It's beautiful and secluded in the woods. A perfect place to stay with our dog. We loved it!

Wonderful location and great responsive host. You can walk across the street to a beach or walk a few blocks to the park and town. It was family friendly with great internet so you can easily stay for a few days or a month! A little road noise in the bedrooms but it slows at a reasonable hour. Will definitely stay again!

All I can say is AMAZING!!! The house was spotless!! There was everything you could think of already there, from extra bedding, toiletries, fans, kitchen supplies!! The setting was beautiful! Very quiet and very comfortable. Hosts were very friendly and responsive to answer any questions! Would definitely recommend for a family stay!

Lovely very clean house only a few steps away from the river and within sight of Lake Huron. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and seasonings. Fridge was stocked with condiments. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful with friendly neighbors. Will certainly stay here again! We took in the Friday night fish fry at Connie's Cafe per Donald's recommendation and found the fish very good.

Emily was a gracious host, response very quickly before, during and after the stay. My family and I enjoyed the Airbnb it was enough room for us to enjoy. Highly recommend for a family to book if you need space and to be in the center of Alpena this is the place for you. It has everything you need for your stay. Very nice house - feels like a home rather than a cabin/cottage. Very well furnished and stocked, with a great location as well. The layout of the house and property are great, plenty of indoor space and privacy if you have kids or are staying with a group. Huge backyard. Very nice sandy beach with another, even nicer, sandier beach less than a minute's walk away. Literally the best vacation home I have ever stayed at for this price. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Mike's cottage. The cottage was clean and matched the posted photos exactly. We were very comfortable during out stay and enjoyed the view of the lake, especially when it was warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. We very much appreciated Mike having a guest logon to a few basic streaming services that we could use. Really enjoyed the Depot restaurant and Northland Market at the corner of Beaver Lake Rd. where you turn to get to the lake/cottage., very convenient. Freshly made pies and cookies! Had the good fortune to see the aurora borealis late at night one evening, first time for us to see the lights, just added to the enjoyment of our vacation. Overall a great, comfortable stay, easy check in and check out, quiet location with a great view and met some local rabbits and deer. Looking forward to coming back to Mike's cottage when we come back to that area. Thanks for everything Mike!

Our family stayed here a few years ago. I knew it was where we wanted to be again. We love being in the middle of nowhere. We love the serenity and the wildlife. Very clean and cozy. We stayed a week and I didn’t want to leave when we did. Can’t wait to visit again!

This was an exceptional place. Very quiet Ava serene. Matt and Betsy were very accommodating, kind, and friendly. They went above and beyond providing all accommodations throughout my week stay. A+.

I was in town for business and thankfully Stacey had a place available because this was such a fun experience!! We had a beautiful cabin in the woods surrounded by nature what could be better!😊 Stacey has a little store to buy a few grocery items and some handmade items too. Great selection of movies to pick from since there is no cable, that was great too!! I could go on about how wonderful this place is but Stacey and her husband are really the gems here! If you have the opportunity to stay here when you are in Alpena BOOK IT!! You will not be disappointed. If I could do more than 5 stars I would⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were looking for a quiet and secluded getaway, and Janell’s cabin was absolutely perfect. Tucked away in nature, it offered the peace and tranquility we needed to fully unwind. The co-host, Travis, met us at the road and was incredibly helpful—he made sure we got to the cabin smoothly and gave us some great local recommendations for hikes and places to explore. The cabin itself is thoughtfully laid out, making excellent use of the space—cozy, functional, and beautifully kept. We also loved the fire pit outside, with plenty of firewood provided for relaxing evenings under the stars.

Great place far away from public. Long way off the main road, but that is what makes it great. Private and surrounded by woods. Lots of areas to explore. Appreciate allowing dogs, they were able to explore and run leash free. This place has made it to our favorites. The home was clean and comfortable with a nice covered porch to relax on.

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin! It was beautifully decorated with updated amenities that made it feel extremely cozy! More so, it was extremely clean! However, it is not as secluded as the pictures may look. There are close neighbors on both sides of the cabin as well as the rest of the road. This is not the hosts fault, just a nuance of us not being familiar with the area.
