The over 700 year old castle Haus Bamenohl is hidden behind old trees in the middle of an idyllic park in the heart of the Sauerland hills. As guest of the Vicounts of Plettenberg, who have been living here since 1433, you can relax for some quiet days alone, spend a romantic weekend for two at the fireplace or take a family outing. Whether it's hiking in the wonderful nature, cycling, sailing, golfing, skiing - Bamenohl is worth a visit.

With this unique home, all the important points of contact are close by. In the middle of downtown Altena. Lovingly restored old building. It offers 3 bedrooms and of course a sunny outdoor area. Altena Castle is a few minutes' walk. The house has 3 floors and has a total of 100 square meters. Of course, bedding and towels are provided. Just ask for shorter reservations. I'm glad 😀

Walnut cottage on the Listerhof

Our "walnut hut" is located near the Listertalsperre on our property at a small pond. The cottage is newly renovated in 2021 and can be lived in all year round. Nature lovers will find numerous hiking trails, sports enthusiasts offers such as horseback riding at the in-house riding facility, water sports at the Listertalsperre, climbing or skiing.
