“This cozy little apartment in the lower level of the families home which is nestled in the woods was a wonderful weekend retreat. Sparkling clean with all the comforts of home you won't be disappointed with your stay here. We enjoyed the sunshine pouring in from all the windows and had plenty of space to spread out and relax. Being on the lower level of the home you do hear the family roaming around above you but it was way better than any noises you would perhaps hear in a hotel. It really is a lovely place and we would gladly stay there again.”
Wolfeboro is a picturesque tourist town on the edge of Lake Winnipesaukee. Your home away from home is 1/2 mile (walking distance) to downtown and all the lovely shops and the docks. You will go back in time & enjoy a feeling of days gone by. As summer approaches, why not enjoy all our quaint lakeside town has to offer. Lakeside strolls and Wednesday night concerts at the Cate Park gazebo are some of the things to do in the summer, not forgetting the Fourth of July parade and fireworks!
“The perfect AirBnB host and experience - Lois provided us a home away from home, and welcomed us into her gorgeous New Hampshire space with open arms. She provided the small touches that only the best of hosts can do. It was a pleasure getting to know her and spending time in her home. I highly, highly recommend this host and place. We emerged with a new friend.”
Private room with shared bath in a charming old house. The room is on the second floor with the bath right next door, shared only with your host. The house is comfortable and has plenty of space to relax and get ready for a day exploring the area.
“I spent a very charming Christmas holiday with my sister at Laurie's. We stayed eight days and seven nights. I had stayed at Laurie's in the same room a few summers ago for two nights, which was why I wanted to return for our holiday. The house was really picture perfect with a Christmas tree and the overall atmosphere was really wonderful. Even though my sister and I shared a room, we felt welcome to spend as much time as we wanted in the cozy living room and kitchen. My sister ended up moving into a second room downstairs, which she loved. Laurie made our holiday very sweet, and even gave us Christmas presents. If and when I'm in NH again, I could not imagine staying anywhere else but at Laurie's house. Parking was very easy, too, because we had a parking spot in her driveway. This next part of the review is specifically for anyone who has Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, biotoxin illness, or other autoimmune diseases that limit the indoor environments that they can tolerate: I have CIRS due to long term mold exposure from about 5 years ago and it has rendered me a "human mold detector". Laurie's house does not have any mold or lingering water damage. This is a safe indoor air environment. The house is heated with both electric heaters and two wood-burning stoves downstairs (one in the kitchen and the other in the living room). The treehouse room is more or less directly above the wood burning stove in the kitchen. Due to my autoimmune issues, the combustion from the burning wood sent me into a 20% flare the first night I arrived that lasted only until the next afternoon. I knew it wasn't from mold, but an overreaction of my immune system. It was a little uncomfortable. However, once my immune system learned that there was no real threat in the air, the flare went away and I was 100% fine. If you have CIRS, I really believe you'll be comfortable like I was. I would, however, recommend one of the larger downstairs bedrooms only because they are not above the wood-burning stoves. My sister really loved the downstairs bedroom because it was cooler anyway. I have more complimentary things to say, but this review has gotten quite long. #safeindoorenvironment #CIRS #chronicinflammatoryresponsesyndrome #chronicbraininflammation #moldillness #biotoxinillness”
