Monthly Rentals in Anacostia River

Greg's place was exactly as advertised in his listing with no surprises. A small, comfortable space with all the necessary amenities for a longer-term stay -- laundry, stove/oven, dishwasher, TV with a Fire stick -- it was the perfect home away from home. Greg is incredibly responsive and friendly, and he was quick to reply the few times I needed to reach out with questions.

This was a neat place if you want to stay out of the hustle and bustle of city, but still close enough to the metro to get you where you need to go. The broadway metro was about a 25-30 minute walk in snowy and icy sidewalks. His place was homey and Hugo was very friendly and glad to see you each morning, and would come hangout upstairs with us after a day of exploring.

Pros: - Great location with easy access to public transport and grocery stores. - Apartment is spacious and comfortable. - Well-equipped kitchen and amenities. - Very clean. - Smooth check-in and check-out; the 1 PM checkout time is very convenient. - Responsive and kind host. Cons (minor): - The central heating system distributes heat unevenly (the bedroom is colder than the kitchen) and can be noisy when it works. - Thin ceiling; noise from the upper floor can be disruptive for sleep. - We found a few bugs on the floor and kitchen wall—this may be a seasonal issue in the DC area. Conclusion: The apartment and host are highly recommended.

We can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was at Pia’s place. Hands down our best experience, yet. Pia was very responsive with communicating and so friendly when we got the opportunity to meet her. The house was extremely clean and very nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable, even the pull out! We walked or biked to Union station almost everyday. It was nice to grab Starbucks on the walk. We grabbed the street car once to Union station and a few times back home. Very easy to navigate! We really enjoyed capital city bikes (location right near Pia’s place) and got around DC on them the entire three days. DC is very bike friendly!
