“Great stay this week at the Homer tiny house! Love this place. Adorable. Super comfortable. Nice decor that has Alaska feel without all the fur & antlers. Checking in/entry was a breeze. Fantastic mountain view from the deck. Wish it had rained less so I could have enjoyed it more! I was visiting a friend and had one day on my own. The red binder with all the maps and info was great on getting me around town. Recommend the 2 sisters bakery. The Safeway grocery is right nearby if you need to pick up anything. Wi-fi worked surprisingly well. Highly recommend. Great home base in Homer for one person (or 2 people if you really like each other).”
Our comfortable cabin is the perfect place to get-away to beautiful Homer, AK. This private cabin has a full kitchen and bath as well as a loft bedroom with a view of Kachemak Bay. The cabin is located on a shared property with our home which is ideal for providing assistance with anything you might need from your hosts.
“We rarely return to the same place twice, but after staying one night here in January, we knew we'd be back. We fell in love with this cabin and Homer. This time we stayed for several days in August and, man oh man, did we enjoy it. The cabin has everything you need, plus a lot of extras like fresh flowers and candles throughout, as well as many convenience items like bear spray, microwave popcorn, books about the area (fiction and nonfiction) and all the condiments you could need. We even came home one evening to a basket of fresh eggs, veggies and canned salmon on the porch which made for a delicious breakfast. They go above and beyond! What I like most, though, is how well Aj and Eric know the area. Both times we've stayed we've gotten some great, local recommendations upon arriving and if if you ask them about anything in particular, they can point you in the right direction! We've gone to many of the places they mentioned and were not disappointed. You can tell they're active in their area (and beyond) and you can be confident that they'll give great advice about everything from food to hiking, from Alaskana books to scenic views and romantic ways to experience Homer. Their suggestions definitely enhanced our stay both times. If you're looking at staying in Homer, you've probably heard how great it is. We haven't done any fishing there yet, but there's plenty to do and enjoy aside from that. The beautiful setting alone is worth visiting, but there are art galleries, bookstores, museums/marine info centers, shops, beaches, restaurants galore and all kinds of interesting ways to fill your time (and we've seen moose and bald eagles both times!). To truly enjoy all that and more, you should definitely stay in this cabin.”
A popular place to stay in Homer. Quaint, cozy, clean and convenient to the Homer Spit and downtown. Great views
“Ruth's cabin is adorable and feels like home. I was traveling with my parents and I slept in the loft bed while they used the bed in the main room. It was cozy but we fit perfectly and were even able to all comfortably sit around the cabin in the morning drinking our coffee. This was the cleanest and most charmingly-decorated Airbnb I've visited. My mom loved it and took pictures of everything. The bathroom is decently sized and plenty of towels are provided. The beds are comfortable (including the mattress in the loft, which has its own little window next to it). There is a Keurig machine with plenty of coffee cups and cream and sugar provided. The location is excellent - nice and quiet but close to everything you need in Homer. There is a little path that leads from the cabin to a bluff where you can catch a gorgeous view of the mountains and the bay. Perfect way to start the day. Ruth was a very communicative and friendly host, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. We were only able to stay one night but would definitely stay here again if we get the chance and would recommend it to anyone!”
