“The property exceeded all of our expectations! Our highlight was the balcony with a fantastic view from which we could never get enough. There is a small supermarket just a few minutes' walk away where you can buy the most necessary things, otherwise the “city center” is also within walking distance. Even a small beach is only a stone's throw away. The two hosts are super friendly and warm. On the last evening we “booked” a dinner from Roy. It was the best meal of our vacation - don't miss it!”

“Staying at Andreas place was a great experience for us and our two little girls, too. We loved the amazing view, design and style of the place, and appreciated the peace and safety and how helpful Andrea was. Apart from sharing tips for trips around she actually addressed all the needs we had during our stay, many of them lifesavers (stuff regarding small children - our daughters were 10 months and 34 months at that time - washing, high chair, baby cot...). The apartment contained everything a traveller might need , stuff like oil, seasoning, tea and coffee etc.). Andrea was available every day in case we needed anything, however, we had the chance to enjoy our privacy and felt we had the place for ourselves. The location is very convenient to explore the whole island , especially when renting a car. Everything was reachable within 30 mins, the furthest place up in the mountains an hour. There are cool places around - we loved hiking in the Jardin de Rui, having lunch and and hanging out at the Surfers beach, bathing and snorkelling at the Fairyland beach, which is really beautiful and suitable for babies too. All these places are within 5 minutes drive from Andreas house. All in all, we were very happy with our decision of staying at Andreas place.”

“If you choose to stay at Verona, you will have chosen well. Hazel and Andy have a smooth and well established operation that results in an effortless vacation experience for their guests. There are touches such as complimentary airport collection and drop off and the choice of competitively priced car hire (they own a car rental company) that take the stress out of the logistics. The accommodation itself (Rafa) is very well represented by the Airbnb page and it was sparkling clean. It has everything that you need: hairdryer, aircon, washing machine, coffee machine, beach towels and more. Verona sits within Hazel & Andy’s garden so you see them in passing in the evenings after work and they are always happy to offer advice or answer any questions you have. Hazel was also always prompt with replies on booking. We were treated to a complimentary Creole meal one evening which is outstanding service and introduced us to local dishes such as Breadfruit. You are adjacent to your neighbours at (Ello) and will see them frequently at the shared areas. The location is excellent: in a peaceful spot, 50m from a sandy beach with good snorkelling and a small shop and 1km from a small town with markets, cash exchange/atm, petrol, take away and a large beach. Verona is centrally located on the island for exploration by car (recommend Anse Intendance & Port Lunay) but note the roads are very narrow and travel by night is not easy. Bus stop 50m away and it costs 7 Rupees to go anywhere on the island. Our tips? Take mozzie spray (I was grateful for the small bottle of repellent provided by Hazel as I forgot mine) and take some food bits like noodles, packet sauces and dry fruit. Fish is the main dish (meat & fresh fruit, veg and salad is difficult to come by). Euros can be used but Seychelles Rupees are mainly used (exchange in Anse Royale). All in all, our experience of the Seychelles was enhanced by our stay at Verona and can whole-heartedly recommend it to you. We would stay there again on our next trip.”
