The neighbourhood is quiet but attractions like the Pont d'Avignon, restaurants, and bars are all less than 10 minutes on foot. A parking space is within a 3-minute walk. You will not use the car in town but is will be great to explore Provence by day and return to your tranquil haven each evening.

Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

With an area of 75 square meters, it is composed of a large living room with open kitchen, sitting area with sofa bed, wood-burning stove..., and upstairs a large bedroom with bathroom. Between Lablachère and Les Vans, the farmhouse is a former silk factory, the new "Les Cyprès" cottage (rated 4*, 53 m2), located at the back of the building, enjoys a large private terrace. This preserved environment will offer you space, charm and serenity for a quiet holiday. The garden unfolds at the front of the farmhouse on two levels, the lower part houses a swimming pool (salt water) of 8 x 4 m (to be shared).
