Vacation rentals with breakfast in Armamar

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la Quinta de Pousada. Le logement était propre, spacieux, décoré avec goût, une vue imprenable sur les vignes, et un cadre idyllique. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par le propriétaire et sa femme ! La nourriture était excellente, avec des produits raffinés, et les repas copieux. Un grand merci tout particulièrement à Carlos pour sa bonne humeur, ses conseils, la dégustation de vins, et ses attentions qui ont rendu notre séjour inoubliable. La qualité est largement à la hauteur du prix. N'hésitez pas une seconde !

Our stay at Lugar das Letras was nothing short of magical. This beautifully restored house, once an old school, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards—a true feast for the eyes. The rooms and bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully designed to make us feel at home. But what made our experience truly unforgettable were Carla and Paula, the two wonderful ladies who took care of every detail. Every morning, they prepared a memorable breakfast for our entire family, filled with warmth and care. Their kindness and hospitality turned our stay into a dream. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise in the Douro Valley. Highly recommended!

It’s a bit of a drive off the beaten path to get there (car GPS had no problem) but well worth the drive! A lovely vineyard with spectacular views from every angle! Even though we were there in mid Oct, went for a very refreshing swim in the pool that is steps away from our room. Just a short walk away is a lovely waterfall on the grounds. Sonia lives on site - she is a gem. She does all the cleaning as well as offers laundry service (for a very small fee). The place was spotless & well appointed. We were provided with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cereal, several cartons of milk & juice, butter, jams, ham & cheese. We also were provided with copious amounts of a variety of fruit (oranges & kiwi grown right there in the vineyard) The piece de resistance were the homemade (by Sonia) rolls and croissants we received every morning - they were the bomb!! Enough food for us to enjoy for breakfast & lunch! Stay here. It will NOT disappoint.

Cannot say enough about this place, its everything it says and lots more. The ladies that service the property along with preparing breakfasts were simply awesome. Aurora's chocolate cake was a hit, and we had it for dessert and breakfast! The location and views are postcard perfect and that comes with some nervous driving to get there, but once you know the quirks really not that bad, just be careful. Highly recommending this to friends that are planning a trip to this beautiful part of the world.

The view from the house is spectacular. We looked down over the Pinhão River and could also see the Douro River, boats and trains that passed by Pinhão. The house is large with two floors so there is ample room for 4 people. Henriqueta left a substantial amount of supplies for us, unlike many places that leave just enough to get you started, there was enough coffee, milk, juice, cold meats, cheese, butter, fruit and bread for our entire stay of six days and laundry soap. I would describe the furnishings as "eclectic" however, where the place truly shines is outdoors. There is a lovely tiered garden with fruit trees, flowers and herbs and it carries around outside the gate up the hill which we hiked up to visit the ruins above the house. There is an outdoor barbecue with ample charcoal and wood, which we also used as well as patio tables and chairs. Outside the entrance is a long counter with 8 chairs, perfect for your morning coffee in the sun. We were too early April for the hot tub

It was a wonderful stay. The house is spacious and modern and clean. It’s a small town so having breakfast brought to us in the morning was wonderful and plentiful and delicious. Helena is a charm, so warm

Such a wonderful place and wonderful hosts! It’s remote, too far normally to walk to town, but our hosts did a great job of supplying us with breakfast food and wine, so we were never without the important things. Beautiful place, beautiful views, lovely pool (too cold to use when we went), sauna and workout room. Wineries all around the area. Many thanks to our very responsive and enjoyable host, Tania

Si vous aimez la nature et le calme vous êtes au bon endroit ! Le lieu est très agréable, la vue est magnifique. José est très sympathique et de bon conseils pour vos visites. Je recommande +++

Tout était parfait ! La chambre et la salle de bain sont modernes propres. Le petit déjeuner est très bien aussi.

Clean, roomy and comfortable apartment. Great patio. Very good communication. Paula was at the apartment on our arrival to introduce the apartment. A nice port and cookies were provided gratis, which was appreciated. Breakfast provided every morning was tasty and convenient. Highly recommend.

Staff was wonderful, very helpful and responsive. We had a delightful wine tasting. They set up a taxi to take us to town and told us where to have dinner. The small village was extremely charming, we had a great dinner and our taxi driver was waiting to take us back after. The room and property were top notch. the only minor issue we had and it may be our fault, is we were further away from the Douro Valley than we thought. The directions were correct, but I missed my turn into the property, it isnt much of a road and it sneaks up on you. It would be challenging to find at night. But in the end, we were extremely pleased with our experience and very glad we stayed. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!!

host nos recebeu muito bem, com dicas de restaurantes e tudo ❤️ eu e meu esposo amamos a estadia! o quarto era exatamente como nas fotos, lindo!!! apesar da chuva, conseguimos também aproveitar bastante o salão de jogos e a piscina interna. já queremos voltar!

De passage pour un mariage au Portugal, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. Hôte très accueillant, propreté irréprochable, hôte très serviable. Nous avons passés un très bon séjour.

Passei dois dias magníficos com a minha família à Casa dos Vinhais. O anfitrião, o José, é muito simpático, atento e prestável e fomos optimamente recebidos por ele. A casa é realmente especial com os móveis e louças antigas da família com a sala muito agradável e os quartos muito queridos. Aqui sente-se e respira-se a história. A vista da casa para o rio Douro é linda e nós não pudemos aproveitar para banhar no rio mas, nos meses mais quentes, daria para aproveitar bem o exterior. Podemos pedir para fazer o jantar lá em casa e o bacalhau com natas e a alheira preparado pelo José e Graça foi divinal. Para além disso, o pequeno-almoco está incluído na estadia e é mesmo delicioso! Espero voltar de novo aqui a esta casa. Obrigada por tudo!

Quinta da Xandica, located just outside of Valença do Douro village, was a fantastic, and unique experience. It’s rare these days to find an Airbnb hosted by a “real” (boots on the ground) host who is not only there to share local knowledge and accommodates your needs, but literally who also welcomes you in to the ACTUAL family home. It reminded me of a traditional bed and breakfast, in all of the best ways. (Including a lovely breakfast in a dining room!!!) The Quinta was home to Matilde”s great grandfather, and is shared today with her grandmother and father (three generations). It’s a working farm, and an all around charming, beautiful place. Even during our unseasonably rainy visit, the grounds and area was stunning. Practically speaking, the bed was comfortable & the water hot. Dinner made by Matilde was a reasonably priced and delicious with estate wine. We also thoroughly interaction with other guests, the chipped dog, “Bill”, and access to the surrounding area. A treasure!

André e sua equipe são muito agradáveis, atenciosos. O local da estadia é impecável e muito confortável. Com toda certeza voltaria para me hospedar com ele. Recomendo 100%, pois o custo-benefício é muito grande. A equipe está de parabéns!!

Cidalia’s place was outstanding. Beautiful room, and amazing views. Gorgeous pool right above Douro. Dary Cidalia’s son was super helpful with every small request. He is a chef, and the breakfast he served was not only delicious with a huge variety, but also beautifully served. La habitación era amplia y estaba impecable, el sitio es bonito y tranquilo y el desayuno excelente. Lástima que no pudimos aprovechar más la piscina porque hacía bastante fresco. Lo recomendaría a familias con pequeños que quieran hacer excursiones por la zona, que es muy bonita.
