Rana's place was very nice to stay in Aswan . The host helped secure a ride to the place and we were warmly welcomed and offered hot beverages by sweet Fatima ! The apt is simple but clean and had what we needed. It was a very short stay, we just slept there over night. The beds were comfortable and the whole place peaceful. Great view from the terrace.

We had a great stay at Ahmed's place on Elephantine island. From the beginning Ahmed was really responsive, and he and his family were very helpful with whatever questions we had. The house was really comfortable and clean, and the area was charming and peaceful. Delighted with the experience!

Feeling like arriving at a friend house! Great location on the Elephantine island which seems like a retreat from the busy Aswan and its ferries.

We spent 3 magical nights at Tamer's. The place is clean, the hosts welcoming. We had our dinners on site, the cuisine is local and delicious, the typical Egyptian breakfast is perfect. Tamer organized us a day in Abu simbel and Asouan then the transfer to Luxor. The driver was professional and very kind and the vehicle impeccable. Bonus for the recommended fish restaurant in Abu simbel. We also went to Philae by boat. If you love nature, calm and have a simple and local experience then go for it.

This is such a great place to stay especially if you want to get a feel of the Nubian lifestyle and experience. The location is great as the island is super pretty and the food is better in the restaurants there than on the East bank. Really cheap for such a cute place, it’s got an AC (you’ll need it if you come after April!) and you can watch the sunset from there. Fawzy was also super helpful and helped us arrange a boat sunset ride. Place can be a bit tricky to find but Fawzy was kind enough to pick us up from a nearby restaurant. 100% recommend!
