Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Athens County

We LOVED our stay!! The property was so magical and very private (our favorite part). The first day we were there, the sun was shining and we spent our time lying in the flower field. The hot tub was perfect and so comforting at night. The fire pit by the pond was so calming and the full moon reflecting off the water was so serene. Following the sunny day, we had a rainy day by the pond which fulfilled all my fairy garden pond dreams 🧚🐸 the frogs were active, the pond alive. Genuinely one of my favorite places I’ve stayed. There’s magic in the air. On the sunny day, we drove 20 min to ash cave and cold plunged under the waterfall. It was amazing. We had a 2wd car - it took a couple tries to get up the hill, but we were able to do it. We did not leave the property on the rainy day, we would not have been able to get up the driveway. So definitely keep in mind the weather if you aren’t driving a 4wd vehicle.

aside from not having hangers to hang clothes, host was friendly, replied quickly, pet friendly with a fenced in yard Lucky had sooo much fun and didn’t want to leave. peaceful and very close to campus for the alumni festivities.

Great house for Moms weekend Not to far from campus. Clean and had everything we needed. Nate was very responsive

We loved Bob's place and would love to visit again. Very peaceful with many birds. The wood burning stove was a big hit, kept it going all weekend. Once we started it easy to get going in the morning. Very clean bathroom. Beds comfortable.

This place was perfect for Mom's weekend at OU. It was about a 10 minute drive to campus.

We stayed here for our son's graduation from OU. The house was clean and well stocked, including spring water and coffee/creamers available. It was a quick ride back to campus. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience.

We loved staying with Chad. The cabin is adorable. Chad took us on a hike to see the caves and all of the other beautiful and unique cottages. What an amazing place. We will definitely be coming back very soon. The chickens are so cute and the host was amazing.

We had a great time and it was relaxing. We were able to use our ATVs and spend time outside. We took out two dogs. The place was clean and had a lot of household items. It was great to play the board games bc we forgot our games at home.

Quiet and 20 min from Athens, not much else around. Nice fire pit. Plenty of bedrooms but common area is tight.

This cabin was very spacious. Perfect for groups, we had our family of 5 there and only used two of the 5 bedrooms. The area is beautiful and there was plenty to do outside including the hot tub, swings, grill, and walking trail. I would definitely recommend this chalet.

The Cabin was very nice, cozy and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I have rented many modest cabins in Hocking Hills, and Fullbrooks stands out—everything we needed it to be. Great: well-appointed kitchen (sharp knives, sugar, salt/pepper); several outdoor spaces; super clean (including hot tub); clear stargazing (Milky Way); private (not secluded); comfy furniture throughout; extra towels, TP, paper towels, dish/hand soap; shocking lack of bugs*; dog-friendly (our big pup relished the free range—within easy view). Okay: 20-30 min drive to most HH attractions; patchy media (could connect phones to wifi, but even after resetting the router, couldn’t connect to Netflix/cast to TV from our phones); off-site check in/out added ~15 min x2 to our drive. Tips: Bring back-up matches for a fire and your own napkins. To those mindful of plastics/PFAS, the kitchen has only scratched up nonstick cookware; bring your own pot and pan, as well as a container to collect recyclables to take home. *1st Choice sprays for bugs, including bees. Poor pollinators. ☹

Baileys Basecamp was great! A beautifully done cabin in the middle of plenty of trails. About 2.5 miles down a dirt road sits the cabin on the left with a fire pit, grill and a front porch swing. We were in town for something completely unrelated to the trail system, but we will more than likely return for experience everything it has to offer.

It was super cold and right after a rainy season, but we still wanted to head up there for spring break. Alex was a super great host and had heaters going for us and made the experience great for the night that we got to stay. I would definitely suggest coming here with the family. The breakfast was also amazing!

Super cozy, clean and comfortable. The cabin is decorated with charming old photos and memorabilia; I really liked that authentic touch. We only wish we had had more time to spend in the beautiful setting! Excellent communication from the hosts.

Lovely place to stay when we were just passing through, would definitely stay again if ever traveling back to the area!

As long time visitors to hocking hills and more recent parents of an OU student we are longtime visitors to the area and have stayed in many places, usually through air bnb. We have liked most of the cabins and have stayed in a couple more upscale ones. Junior’s Farm is the most beautiful and it isn’t even close. The windows and the view are indescribable and the decor is unique and cool and everywhere you look, you see something that catches your attention and wish you had it in your house. There are interesting art things about and beautiful views and it is so pet friendly with a little doggy shower. A true gem and delight!

I can't wait to return next year! I loved the country farm setting and the super friendly outdoor kitty. Deborah was such a wonderful host! My family felt so at home. The house is gorgeous and so spacious. Loved the fully stocked kitchen. I haven't slept that good in I don't know how long! I highly recommend the Farm 🚜 House 🏠 😍

My boyfriend & myself had the most relaxing weekend getaway here. The views are amazing, this truly is a hidden gem. To fishing the pond, enjoying the view off the back porch, or sitting in the hot tub with an open sky of stars. This was so peaceful for us. We enjoyed a couple stops over to Athens for some coffee (highly recommend court street coffee) & also did some fishing in our boat at strouds run (highly recommend also) Mark was an excellent host & we can’t wait to book again!! :)
