Enjoy a stay on a working cattle ranch in a actual barn in the bunkhouse. A great place for a romantic getaway or to get away from fast city life. You can enjoy the morning having a cup of coffee while enjoying the views of Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park while visiting with the livestock .Only 30 minutes from the entrance of the park ! You can go fishing in 2 fully stocked ponds, hiking around the 100 acre ranch ,beautiful sunsets, millions of stars, and watch a branding if we are doing so
“What an AMAZING experience!!! Jennifer was very accommodating and friendly! She made sure we had everything we needed & even let us check in early ! The first night we stayed they included us as if we were part of the family , we fished in their well stocked pond with them and their neighbor friends. Jennifer and her family welcomed us but, also gave us our privacy and let us know it was up to us how much we interacted. The place is magical and unique, we look foreword to going back!”
Sequoia/Kings Canyon open Country! Trails and restrooms. Country/Mountain decor. Very private property, quiet, road paved to the front gate, shaded oak trees, apt back yard fenced with patio and fountain. Guest will have a private parking area, host and hostess will provide any needs and maps of sites in the area of Kings Canyon/Sequoia Nat. Park. Serene beauty in all.
“Pure perfection!!! Paula and her husband were wonderful hosts. The interior space is bigger and nicer than it appeared in the photos. It is one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in. The fridge was well-stocked with thoughtful amenities, including champagne for our anniversary! The outside porch area was great to have breakfast on and sip our coffee and enjoy a relaxing morning while watching the many varieties of birds which can be seen close by, as well as the nice landscape scenery. In fact, we almost had to tear ourselves away to go visit the Sequoias! Tip for guests, try to arrive before dark as the country roads leading there are winding and without lights (which Paula had warned us about, and sent very detailed directions). But once you have already seen it in daylight it is much easier to navigate. Paula and her husband were very friendly, attentive, and we very much enjoyed meeting and talking to them. We stayed for three days and really enjoyed our stay!”
The most spectacular feature of staying in Hummingbird Country Cottage is its views of the rolling hills, deep valleys, and bright stars. It is a sweet, cozy, and romantic place to stay in. Another advantage is that it is only around 40 minutes from the entrance to King's Canyon & Sequoia National Park and around 10-15 minutes from Bear Mountain Pizza. Verizon cell towers carry the most reliable service. Wifi available.
