“We were greeted at the airport by our hosts. They came with 2 large cars to be able to pack our 10 large suitcases. (My 90 year old mother is also part of the trip). Functional house, extremely clean, comfortable mattresses, the 2 bathrooms are not too many. Excellent welcome, without forgetting the housekeeper, always available to respond favorably to the least of our expectations. To recommend.”
Cette jolie petite maison se trouve dans un quartier calme et paisible avec une vue sur lac, proche de toute les commodités: Supermarché, marché, restaurants, salle de sport mais surtout à 5 min de l'aéroport
Our listing is a private room with private bathroom + balcony on the 2nd floor of the 3-story house we live in. The shared spaces are an open concept living-room and kitchen on the 1st floor, as well as our lovely roof top terrace.
“The space is lovely, tastefully done, thoughtfully set up, and an oasis to retire to after the bustle of the outside world. The bathroom, like the rest of the unit, feels spanking new and clean, the hot shower a delight, the kitchen is set up to feel roomy and thoroughly usable by 2 people at once, and the roof space is nice to get some work done early mornings (in the summer) or for breezy cool evenings. The electricity and water were reliable as also the wi-fi which is a bit slow but perfectly serviceable. Clothes can be washed in the machine at the base of the steps and hung up to dry on the roof. My room which faces the street can get a bit loud at odd hours of the night, especially if you leave the window open for ventilation. The hosts even provide a jar of blue ear plugs in case noise is an issue. There’s a desk fan for additional circulation. Warning: Tana wakes up very early in the summers, around 5:30, so plan your sleep accordingly. The hosts are super-helpful and accessible, which is a good thing because Madagascar is not always easy to navigate independently. While there are several nice eating places within walking distance, you can also take out ready-made food at Shop-Rite 12 minutes down the street and/or buy produce to cook at home if you want to stretch your budget. Have fun in Tana!”
