Yurt Stay in Luang Prabang

LornaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We absolutely loved our stay in the green yurt - we were at Nam Khan Stables for a week and wish we could’ve stayed longer! The yurt is very comfortable and cosy, with all the listed amenities on site. The surroundings are truly stunning, and waking up to the ponies every day was fantastic. There’s lots to do at the stables - we had some delicious meals on site, and we also tried tubing in the river and took a pony riding lesson with Saita. Saita is a wonderful teacher and the riding lesson was a highlight of our trip (just note that there is a height/weight limit to ride the ponies). We’ve been travelling in south-east Asia for over 2 months and this is the best place we’ve stayed. Saita and her volunteers are so attentive and welcoming - we would definitely recommend and hope we can visit again!

Leu Tribe Historical House

LukeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Had a lovely time here. We thought the house was so beautiful and worth a visit. Looked exactly like the pictures and the hosts were very nice. The only negative was there was some construction nearby so it was a little bit loud in the mornings, but this isn’t their fault. We would recommend this place to everyone and hope to be back!

Cozy 2 bedroom home with river view

RossRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very nice Airbnb and a great host! Spacious house, very clean, comfortable bed, nice living room and good kitchen! The host kindly left us some fresh fruit, muffins and ground coffee! It's walkable to the tourist center, depending on how hot it is. But was also nice to be able to explore more local and less touristy areas nearby The main downside is a bit of noise at night from nearby bars/parties and roosters next door, however that's quite common across Laos

Papaya Room, Luang Prabang, Laos

PennyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a lovely three days at Baan Pila. It’s a great base for exploring the city, and the staff were really accommodating and friendly when it came to recommendations and arranging trips and taxis. Breakfasts were particularly delightful! It was great to be able to borrow bicycles, as this is the perfect way to explore Luang Prabang. Our Mulberry room was cosy and comfortable, and hanging out on the balcony with a well-earned bottle or two of Beer Lao was the perfect way to end each day!

Traditional house

Beautiful traditional house in the center. As in the photos, see less than the reality. The hosts are very welcoming, accommodating and full of good advice. We loved spending three nights in this place.

Off Grid Jungle Farmstay and Mekong Eden Farm

SeanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really appreciated taking the time to come here and understand Om’s vision for his organic farm and social enterprise, mixing modern agricultural knowledge with traditional methods and wisdom. It’s worth taking a trip to the second, larger, farm on the other side of the river, as well as a trip to a nearby village to get the full picture of how life works here. Om is a very inspiring social entrepreneur with excellent English, but the people who run the farm itself speak hardly any English. They are warm-hearted people and excellent cooks so I’m sure you’ll feel very comfortable. We slept very well and rose and slept with the rhythm of the sun as there really isn’t a lot else to do, which was just what we needed. If you’re looking for a rustic off-grid experience for a few days, away from the crowds of Luang Prabang, this is it.

1 bedroom apartment in expat area with 2 bicycles

HannaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed for a month, working out of the apartment and enjoying the attractions at a leisurely pace. The apartment was great for working! The internet worked very well, and Damian ensured that we had ergonomic setups, even sending over a better desk and chair. Everything else we needed was already in place in the apartment. We also really enjoyed the location. The bikes made it very easy to get into town wherever we wanted, and the area felt interesting. We got to see the alms ceremony right outside on the street, a much more quiet affair than on the peninsula (well, apart from the chanting). We were also very close to a few great sunset-viewing spots b And the noodle shop across the street was very handy for breakfast or lunch. We would definitely stay there again!
