“I will start off by saying that Hana is an amazing Hostess. Great communication in advance, post check in and during my stay. She went out of her way to deliver above and beyond one's wildest expectations. The Chek village community and people and the nicest people who you will ever meet. Make sure to go to the Trico bar and grill. Its a 2 minute walk. Sherri and Brian the owners at top notch and will show you some great local hospitality and delicious food and beverage. I liked the place so much I stayed an extra week. Thanks Hana and the puppies.....and Hanas boyfriend”
As the name suggests; this studio is intended for short-term or overnight stay in the national park. The studio comes with a twin bed, private bathroom, and fridge. Ideal for backpackers and low budget travelers. We wanted to provide an alternative for low budget travelers. You'll experience the national park on the large deck while listen to parrots and time fly by. We are located on the Eastend across from Camp Bay.
“AMAZING! This place is amazing! It is affordable and comfortable! I was so happy with my stay! Agusto picked me up and also showed me around the first day! He was so great and very helpful! The room was perfect! The view was incredible! It seems to be in the middle of no where, but in my opinion it’s the best! If you have a car or love walking (like I do) then you can go to the port royal national park, the park is soooo beautiful!!! I wish I had more time to hike through more of it. ( the park is a 15ish minute walk down the street). There is also a beach that is way nicer (in my opinion) than the busy crowded beaches in west end and west bay! (The beach is a 30-50 minute walk depending on how fast you walk) and if you walk down the beach far enough east there is a cute little restaurant on the water! This place is perfect! Amazing if you like hiking ! Here is some of the best views in Roatan! I loved it! Thank you again so much! I cannot wait to return! Thank you! There was drinking water in the room which was a huge bonus! The wifi did not work in the room, but out near the solar panels it worked okay :) (this was stated in the ad, so I knew in advance). Again this place is incredible, I highly recommend it to those who want to get away from the busy touristy areas !”
The Hutton House is a private, pleasantly secluded, fenced, oceanfront home on Oak Ridge Key on the southeast end of Roatan. This charming 3 bedroom home is perfect for a quiet and relaxing break with friends and family.
“We arranged for Steve to pick us up at the Utila ferry dock. He was very informative and explained his family history on Roatan. We stoped at the grocery in French Harbour and then he dropped us off at the Oak Ridge dock, where we met Ned our water taxi driver & boat tour guide during our one week stay. A 10 min water taxi ride to the Reef Resort dock and a 5 min walk to Hutton's house. We loved the atmosphere of this little Caye, the caretakers (Victor, Marta, son Gary and pets) were wonderful. A water pipe busted downstairs but Gary was able to fix it, we lost power for 24 hrs (major wind storm), no generator, but lots of candles, & our headlights came in handy. The snorkeling was great (enter the water from the Reef Resort pier) and the sunrises and sunsets were amazing. We spent time at the Reef Resort bar next door and BJ's. We did rent a car for 4 days to tour the island and parked it at BJ's for $2.00 a day. There is only air conditioning in the master bedroom but luckily the trade winds made it comfortable. We loved the east end of Roatan and the Hutton's House.”
