“I wish to say my fellow travelers one friendly advice that, if you have came across this place while searching for a homestay, then LOOK NO BEYOND !!! This is the place you can book with trust, stay with all comfort and leave with happy memories !! Actually you will be amazed to see that you come as a guest and leave as a family.. which you cannot expect at many places. Hosts like them are true ASSENTS of Airbnb and the reason why travelers are falling in love with the liveliness of homestays ditching the hollowness of hotels !! I rented this place for my parents, who have some medical condition and we're seeking treatment nearby. Inspite of them having their own home in Howrah and me being out of country, I wanted to save their long commute and be comfortable, as one of them had a surgery and other having mobility issue. At this point, after searching for hours, I found this place with excellent reviews and can't say how much lucky we have been. Even before the arrived Papiya and her husband started guiding them and when they arrived, they were greeted with outstanding hospitality and compassion. The hosts left no stones unturned in making them feel at home, helping them with daily chores and keep me informed as my parents cannot step out. This came to a big surprise to all of us as we felt they were staying at some close relative's place rather than a rental. Regarding the home, it's in a great location, exactly as picturized, spacious, freshly painted and comfortable as picturized, sparkling clean room, kitchen, bathroom. Have simple basic amenities like clean linens, nice bed, geyser, refrigerator, utensils, aquaguard, ac, tv all working as expected and excellent VALUE FOR MONEY. Regular cleaning is done and everything is maintained hygienically, which was the most important need of the hour for my parents. The hosts also arranged for their meals and offered them many other support PROACTIVELY.. that's way beyond their call of duty or what's being charged for.. the list is endless !! My parents didn't have a single concern and in fact extended their stay for the entire treatment period. So, I can conclude that, even in today's age of neck-breaking competition business and artificial connect, Noble human do exist around us like Papiya and her husband, who genuinely treat guest as their own family and invest in building true relations rather than just making money ! I wish them great business in coming days with great guests and success in everything they do 😊✨ We will go back to them blindly if needed anytime in future. I will never forget your kind support in our trying times, as you eased of all my stress when, I couldn't be present there ! “How to begin...!? I feel I could write a small novel of praises- This home and family are among the best I have experienced in India. My brother and I stayed for one week and it was one we truly cherished and will always remember. Their hospitality was so natural, easygoing, and everpresent~ we quickly felt that we were all family. We shared so many laughs and conversations about life and ourselves, got much appreciated advice on how to navigate the city and our journey onward, walked around together and enjoyed admiring all the details of their beautiful house and gardens, learned about Bengali food and culture~ Every day was full of enjoyable moments, big and small, and they will forever remain in my heart. If and when I return to Kolkata I will go nowhere else but here. Barasat is a beautiful locality too- full of character and fresh air and trees!!! The room is also perfect and just as described, spacious and airy and very clean, on its own private floor, with window screens and a.c. coming soon. After such an exceptional stay I left feeling that I had not enough to offer them in exchange for all that they gave us.”
