My stay in Basel was nothing short if spectacular and much if it thanks to Simon's apartment. His friendly attitude puts everything and everyone at ease. I was happy to use the kitchen whenever needed as well as any of the amenities, including washing machine (a very good one), sports equipment, an array of towels, drying rack, most of the fridge, etc. Simon was extra kind to let me ride his bike, which took me everywhere in Basel. Adding to that was the fact it was Fastnacht (Carnival) and the whole city sprung to life. Simon's apartment is not far from the Rhein: an afternoon walk along its shining right bank is a must. Nearby are supermarkets, restaurants, a butcher, all sorts of shops and businesses. The tram and bus stops are near as well. Only bus 50 from/to the airport must be taken till/from Kannenfeldplatz, a 6 min walk (400 m). Simon's apartment also has a nice sunny balcony on the inner side of the building. The apartment is well lit.

The apartment was fantastic. Contrary to many other places I have been, it was heated from the start, so the arrival late in a cold night was very comfortable. The place is really good. I could work in a very spacious working space. The kitchen had everything. René was kind enough to allow me to use basic stuff, like oil and sugar, so I could cook without needing to buy everything. I had a couple of questions for René who replied to me straightaway in very precise and polite maners. The main space was looking the Rhine and it was fantastic to have breakfast or dinner there. The location is wonderful, with views over the Rhine and the other side of the river, with boats passing by, and enjoying Basel at its heart. I am very grateful to René and I am looking forward my next trip to Basel to ask him again to stay there.

Willkommen in unserer entspannten 2er-WG! Zum ESC-Wochenende vermieten wir unser gemütliches Gästezimmer. Die Wohnung liegt top zentral zwischen Wettsteinplatz und Claraplatz, nur 100 m vom Rhein entfernt. Tram, Bus und Shops sind direkt um die Ecke. Dein 12 qm Zimmer hat ein bequemes Doppelbett, ein Sofa und eine Kleiderstange. Küche und Bad kannst du natürlich mitbenutzen. Tagsüber sind wir meist unterwegs – also schön ruhig und entspannt bei uns!

The apartment was lovely and very pleasant, quiet but also a minute away from one of the nicest parts of the rhine. Sabine always communcated quickly and added many nice personal touches to the apartment.
