This room is available in a three bedroom apartment. The room has a balcony and a new air conditioner. The apartment is centrally located near many embassies, and consequently, the surroundings are safe and secured 24 hours a day. The Ministry of Culture, the Sheraton Hotel, and the Nile are also close by. Five minutes of walking will get you to the Dokki Metro Station. Taxis and Uber are also readily available 24/7 and are highly affordable. I am happy to host you!
“This is a wonderful room on the top floor of a building in a very safe area of Cairo. Traveling by myself, I never at risk in the building nor in the neighborhood. I loved that there was more than adequate storage for my things during my two-month stay. I could totally unpack, hang up my clothes and use the dresser and middle wardrobe for all my folded clothes. I had plenty of room to store my luggage away, too, which made the space feel more like home. The room was large and has a closed-in porch out the double doors, where Sarah has a table and two chairs and a drying rack. The windows open and there is a peak-a-boo view out to one of the roads surrounding the block. Since I spent a couple of months here and often need rest, I found the porch a wonderful place to sit and read, as well as eat my meals. The apartment has a full-service kitchen and a small kitchen table. The living/dining room also has a large dining table. There is one main full bathroom that serves all three guest rooms, as well as a toilet and sink in a secondary room. Sarah provided water and tea, as well as a carton of apple juice, to begin my long stay and I really appreciated having these supplies before I went to the grocery store for the first time. Water is sold by a vendor across the street from the building and a very nice grocery store is a short 3 blocks down the street. I enjoyed most of the other guests that stayed in the apartment during my two-month stay and I would return again. However, if you cannot sleep well on a firm bed, you may have trouble with Egyptian beds as they are cotton mattresses, rather than spring or foam. But for me, I adjusted and the apartment became a great base of operations for me as I traveled Egypt. Thank you, Sarah, for providing me a safe and comfortable home this spring.”
Wonderfull view, near to everything
My place is close to restaurants and dining and family-friendly activities. My place is good for couples, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
“Ahmed is an amazing host. He is very knowledgeable about all of Cairo. There was a bit of trouble getting from the airport, as he informed me that he would be unable to shuttle me two days before I landed. Once I arrived at the apartment, though, everything was smooth sailing and he provided me with a tour of the entire area. Ahmed was always there to help whether it was with directions or ordering food. Just note if you’re sensitive to smoke: Ahmed doesn’t smoke, but another guest arrived for part of my stay and although he only smoked in his room, the smoke spread throughout the apartment. Other than that, a great stay. Felt like I was living alone most of the time. Thank you for your great hospitality and honesty, Ahmed. I will definitely see you again in Cairo! Cheers”
