This house is on 45 acres of property and was built by my father, Jack Yates. The main area is an open floor plan with two living room areas, a dining area and a kitchen. The house has a rustic feel with the walls being rough wood and wooden beams across the ceiling. There are also two bedrooms, a full bathroom and laundry/utility room. This house is the perfect place to get away or take a break. Just a short drive away from parks, trails and the Potomac river.
“This rustic farm getaway is a treasure!! Almost hate to let the secret out. It is the perfect place to retreat from the city and reconnect over the open breeze, sweet hay and honeysuckle scented air. Nightly fire outside or for a chill in the air, a fire inside. We had one night of storms after a heatwave and sitting on the back screened in porch was the perfect ending to our stay. We had a few things planned to do but with covid and the rioting going on in the city, we decided after seeing the place to stay in and just enjoy the peace and quiet. We have already booked 2 more stays before leaving And can’t wait! Wesley is so friendly and helpful but clearly gave us our space. Almost forgot he lived next door!”
Cute single family home. Private access to the entire house with the exception of upstairs owners apartment. Kitchen with all the essentials. Bedroom with queen bed, sofa bed in living room, queen and twin air mattress. Washer & dryer. WiFi, Fubo TV, Netflix & Hulu. Free parking in front of house. Driveway and garage are used by owner to access separate apartment. Less than a mile from highway 270 and 30 mile from D.C. Many great local restaurants and shopping within miles.
“Wonderful place to stay. Clean, maintained, host was very responsive and accommodating, and there were endless paved walking trails around Little Seneca Creek. Extremely quiet at night w/ friendly neighbors. All necessary amenities for daily life, enough parking space on street if you had two vehicles. Would stay again.”
Serenity on Slidell is the lower level of a single family home on an acre of land in a quiet, rural part of western upper Montgomery Co., MD. The 2 owners live on the 1st floor, with their two kids and dog. There is a private outside entrance down a well-lighted flight of stairs. Free parking is available on property. WiFi & chromecast included. Small kitchen with sink, small refrigerator/freezer, four burner stove & oven, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster oven, hot water pot, & coffee pot.
“My boyfriend and I had a long term stay at Serenity on Slidell. We were in a transitional phase and booked our stay rather last minute. Tom and his wife were incredibly accommodating and opened their doors to us with no hesitation. The location is beautiful, quiet, and safe; located in northern Montgomery County maybe 10 minutes from Sugarloaf Mountain, it’s a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The space itself is large, and I remember mentioning to Tom that pictures didn’t do it justice! It could easily accommodate 4+ people or an entire family. The bathroom is large with a his & hers sink, and the toilet has a door to separate it from the shower/sinks which is nice. The kitchen is large and includes a stove top, microwave, a small fridge/freezer combo, and a washer and dryer. I did bring my own pots and pans, so I can’t say I really looked for pots and pans in the cabinets. Tom was an excellent communicator and always responded quickly to my messages. He has two dogs, and honestly, they were so well behaved and as sweet as can be when I encountered them playing outside! We had such a great stay and would definitely stay there again. Thank you, Tom! We appreciate the warm hospitality. :) All the best, Shellina & Leo”
