We brought the whole fam (the two of us plus our fur babies) to stay at Carpenter’s Cabin, and we are so glad we did. The space was perfectly peaceful and teeming with so much wildlife. During our weekend stay, we saw beavers, trumpeter swans, a family of turtles sunbathing, and even got to hear the beautiful loon calls in the early morning. The sunsets and sunrises were especially beautiful to experience, and the place and property really feel like a serene private getaway. The cabin and game room were well maintained as well. You can tell how much love and thought they put into the place. Highly recommend checking out Tamarac Wildlife Refuge just minutes from the place as well where we saw even more wildlife including bald eagles in flight and building nests. Would definitely stay here again!

If you are looking for a place that is beautiful and has lots of room to spread out, this one is for you. Our large family gathered here for a fun filled family vacation. We loved loved loved the hot tub! It ended up being a cooler weekend so it was perfect. We rented a jet ski from a place in Detroit Lakes to add to the fun. All of the outdoor levels were wonderful! Also, there was a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom! I highly recommend it!

What a beautiful cabin and so perfect for a family. Small sand beach is perfect for a swim and the cabin is very comfortable with everything you could need for a visit! Thank you so much!

Words can not describe how incredible of a stay we had! It was a perfect weekend getaway, and only a short 4 hour drive from the cities. Very clean, very warm and cozy, loved the cabin decor and super spacious. We will definitely be back! The host was fantastic, with great communication and so friendly.

We had a great time with our family. The pontoon is a big bonus! Loved having the flexibility to go on the lake when we wanted.

The cabin was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked for any kind of meal at a cabin. The fire pit was nice and fun. If we had been in the summer, this place would have been hard to beat. As we came in the fall, the amenities were done for the season. Kellie was very nice and responsive. They had the lights on for us. The beds were amazing with great bedding. I was really impressed and grateful.

We spent time at Caroline’s lovely home for the weekend with our daughter who lives in Detroit Lakes. Everything was clean and beautiful. The location is right on the lake and the loons were fun to watch! Very private and so relaxing. We will be back to stay many times in the future! Great and prompt communicating with our questions. What an amazing weekend!

We had the best time celebrating our family Christmas here! Jennifer went above and beyond for us to make the space comfortable and inviting. She even went above and beyond and decorated and put up a Christmas tree just for us. The space was spotless and much more than we ever could have asked for. We are so very happy with our experience staying here! We will most definitely be back!

Beautiful little cabin on the lake with a good view. We had the perfect family vacation. Loved the screened porch to relax at night and listen to the water. Great bluegill fishing! Close to town & a little dive bar with excellent bar food for when we didn’t feel like cooking. Looking forward to visiting & booking again!

My family and I loved staying here! My daughter searched for snail shells along the shoreline and jumped into the water off the dock, and my son played with his toys in the grass and generally followed his sister around. My husband and I enjoyed the sounds of the lake and the clean accommodations while they played, and relaxing when they went to sleep.

We had perfect weather, calm water, quiet and peaceful surroundings. Breakfast on the patio was a wonderful way to start the day, watching a couple of mergansers close to shore. The unit has everything we needed, and the reverse osmosis drinking water was really nice. The location is great for finding the Trolls by artist Thomas Dambo, enjoying lunch at Long Bridge Bar & Grill, or grabbing a pizza from Sunlite Bar & Grill.

Denise is an excellent hostess and is very laid back and accommodating. We plan on staying here again next time we are in the area.

We booked last minute at the end of the season. The cabin was exactly as expected by the description. Loved being so close to the water. Kellie was a great host and provided us with everything we needed. The grounds were clean and well kept. We would love to return when the season picks up again to do more of the water activities.

We had our yearly friends' cabin weekend here. It was spacious, clean, and private. We enjoyed pontoon rides, swimming, an evening hot tub session, and games. Jason is very responsive and friendly. 10 out 10 would recommend!
