“We arrived at Brian and Norma’s the day after Hurricane Dorian, and the power was still out. We are an outdoorsy type of family so we didn’t mind. Brian and Norma had candles and coolers for our food and had everything prepared for us to be as comfortable as possible without power. The cabin was very cozy and it felt good to unplug and just enjoy the place for what it was, which was incredible. The water was warm, so good for swimming, less good for fishing. Still caught one though because of Brian’s insider tips. We wish we could’ve stayed a week longer to be able to enjoy our stay even more thoroughly. Brian and Norma are super down to earth people and we loved how friendly they were. We would definitely come back over and over.”

“The wildlife is amazing! There's a large pond out back and a huge lake out front. The pond is full of turtles, frogs, herons, eagles and fish. It was just the right size to teach my son how to kayak. Out front is a great beach for finding shells and other treasures. The swimming dock is wonderful and there aren't any weeds (so my son was really happy). The lake is in a sheltered cove, so great for kayaking. Lynn's cottage is stocked with games and books so there was plenty to do on an overcast day. Plus the kitchen was equipped with all the cooking essentials, and the washer/dryer was super handy for a beach vacation. The cottage is so restful and is more beautiful than the pictures show. Lynn was very responsive and took great care of us, bringing us extra paddles when we needed them. We would definitely go back again.”

“A great little place to stay. Very clean and relaxing. Loved hearing the birds chirp in the morning and to wake up to the light shining through the dome over the bed. The deck is very private. We went for a hike at Belleisle Creek while there. Lots of beaver dams, birds, and frogs croaking. Beautiful inside with lots of comfortable seating.”
