Cottage vacation rentals in Bocabec

This was our first time visiting Grand Manan, and after our stay at Alex's place, it certainly won't be our last!! right from booking, Alex was very responsive, with local recommendations, to even calling to see about Kayaking for us. Our stay was during the off season in Grand Manan and the weather for 2 of the 3 days was less then ideal, but we still managed to get around and visit some local spots. This airbnb is located maybe 5/10 mins from the Ferry, making it very convenient, close to a convenient store as well as their local Independent grocery store. There are a few games provided as well as binoculars !( witch came in handy when we seen whales in the bay out back !! ), The hot tub was immaculate and was a great way to keep the serenity after a peaceful day of exploring. We will most definitely be back, especially once the hustle and bustle of touriat season comes around ! if your looking for a place to stay, we definitely recommend Alex's place ! We stayed in the Magpie and it was the perfect spot to celebrate our 11 year anniversary. It was a rainy weekend but we made good use of the BBQ and hot tub under the covered porch! Very clean and comfiest bed ever! We also visited the coffee shop and took in the view at the beach. This place is a treasure for sure!

This place is amazing! The home is beautifully done and so very comfortable! We used the paddleboard and kayaks on the river and had a blast. No charge for the rentals! The coffee shop was adorable. The views from the cabin were fantastic. We had so much fun here and slept well.

What a beautiful spot! My siblings and I had an amazing stay and highly recommend checking out this piece of paradise! To be back on Lake Utopia after 15 years has been so memorable! We are so fortunate to stay on the same lake that we grew up on and visited every summer. This incredible space was absolutely stunning. Thank you Catherine! We will definitely be back!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ashley's cottage. She is an excellent hostess, very responsive and helpful. She provided many helpful tips that made our stay go smoothly. The cottage is a gem. Beautiful location with a view that never got boring. Very quiet and peaceful. It was a treat to sit on the deck early in the morning watching the birds and squirrels collecting acorns. Even had a little chipmunk scampering around the deck while sitting out. The cottage is very comfortable and cozy. Well equipped with the necessities. We were a party of six, and we felt right at home. Enough space to gather as a group, or find a spot for some quiet time. We had a lovely walk to enjoy the fall leaves and found the neighbourhood to be quiet and the people friendly. Even though the cottage is in a rural area, it is only about 1 hour to SaintJohn, Fredericton, or Moncton.

We had such an amazing stay. The place felt very cozy and unique. The couch was super comfortable as well as the mattresses in the bedrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped (coffee machine, toaster oven, kettle) and sparkling clean. Lots of towels provided for the hot tub and shower. The hot tub was definitely the highlight of the stay. We enjoyed every minute of it. (Instructions were clear and easy to follow). Thank you for the beautiful stay!

The area is absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous view of the river! The cabin was clean, cozy, and relaxing. Brenda was wonderful! Brenda made sure we felt welcome and that we could reach out anytime if we needed anything. We’d love to come back in the summer months 😊

Picturesque view with lobster boats, the pier and the ocean. Quiet mornings watching the sunrise and lobster boats going out was relaxing. Having Chippman’s Wharf down the road was an added bonus for fresh fish. Nice location!

Beautiful cottage! The views of the bay are breathtaking from the wrap around deck and from inside as well. My husband and I had a great weekend getaway and enjoyed cooking on deck, sipping coffee in the mornings and playing pool in the evenings. Great for couples and families. Highly recommend :)

It was the perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday weekend with a few friends! Right from the start we were made to feel welcome with a welcome basket with everything we needed for smores including fire starters and sticks in addition to nice handwritten note. We all loved the cottage inside with more than enough room for both kids and adults to relax or play games, sleep and eat supper. Outside was also great with the bbq, fire pit, propane fire table, especially at night with the amazing stars!), yard games and of course the beautiful lake especially with the leaves at this time of year! We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and a little swimming repeatedly including the last morning after the hosts graciously allowed us to check out a couple hour later! We, especially the kids, also enjoyed the visits from a very friendly pug the hosts had told us would likely drop by. All in all I highly recommend staying at Shore Thing Cottage! We will definitely consider coming back!

Kurt’s place is always an awesome stay. The wood burning stove makes it really comfy. The views are amazing, truly. Remote, private, peaceful.

Tracy’s Maces Bay home was exactly that! A very comfortable and “feel right at home” home. It was stocked with amenities including all types of coffee and tea, which are often not found. The refurbished bathroom is beautiful as well as the sunroom. The view of the tides going in and out is amazing. Tracy was a great hostess and accommodated a great stay at very short notice. We also enjoyed the deer in the yard. A trip to St John’s to see the reversing falls was interesting, as well as eating lobster and wild blueberries nearby.

We just spent 5 nights at this absolutely gorgeous cottage, and it far exceeded our expectations on EVERY level! We were absolutely blown away by the spotless cottage, beautiful high quality furnishings and bedding, and the most EPIC views we have EVER seen! We were mesmerized the entire time. From the stunning sunsets at the many seating areas, to the gorgeous private beach, there truly are no words to accurately convey how incredible this space is. We had deer visit us many times a day, and had so much fun watching the tide come in and out, looking for sea glass and watching the amazing salmon farms. This is our first trip to the East Coast and know this stay will be the highlight of our whole trip. Jennifer was so kind and accommodating, and we are incredibly grateful to have stayed at this stunning cottage. I can't recommend more highly! Thank you SO much Jennifer. If we are ever in New Brunswick again we will absolutely be back! Wishing you all the very best. ❤️

Thank you Bill and Teresa for a great stay! For a rustic little cabin, this was spotless. Very clean and very well equipped with cooking utensils, clean fridge, etc. I'd suggest getting groceries in Calais or Eastport if planning to utilize the kitchen amenities as the area does not have a grocery store. The bed was super comfortable, the mattress being so comfy. Felt like memory foam. We had a great sleep after attending the Piratefest in Eastport. Cabin#7 is up on a hill and the breeze was nice and cool, and did I say QUIET? Most peaceful. Lots of fun fishing the pond for pickerel, using the complementary rowboat on the pond, and canoe for the river. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a rustic cabin experience. Once again, the place was very clean.

This was a reasonably priced, very clean, well-equipped, comfortable little home. Jenna was warm and friendly, and her husband was helpful with unloading our car when we arrived. We had everything we needed. The location is truly beautiful.

gosh, could not glow more about just how gorgeous this stay was. Bajas cottage was everything and more than described. the property the land sits on is like its own peaceful site to see. we played on the grounds and walked to the water every day. chipman’s wharf had the most delicious lobster and very nice people. so happy we had our first whole lobster from them! a great recommendation. also the host pup pearl was absolutely adorable. we loved seeing her every day and our dog did tooo. a vacation for the whole family. such a peaceful place to honeymoon with such kind hosts. definitely would stay again.

Our family had a great time during our visit at Darcy’s air bnb. We LOVED the private beach. We spent most of our time either walking the beach or relaxing by the little fire pit making s’more’s with the kids. We would recommend this place to anyone and we would definitely stay again.

As a former teacher, I give Joseph A+ in communication. He answered every question I had, respon\ded very quickly and provided clear directions. The cottege was very clean when I arrived, and the location is absolutely beautiful. If you are an active person, there is so much to do in the Lubec area, and the FDR Bridge to beautiful Campobello Island is just a few miles away, making for an easy and most enjoyable day trip.

Our entire vacation was ruined. We spent a week touring NB and PEI and never again experienced the level of serenity and hospitality that we enjoyed at Debbie & Neil’s. The home was immaculate, and Neil took the time to show us around even though we arrived later than expected. Upon leaving, we instantly regretted not booking the place for the entire week (though it likely wasn’t available). We are already looking for an excuse to come back and spend some quality time in L’Etete and with Debbie and Neil.

perfect place for a getaway to clear your head. I would recommend to anyone who wants a cozy place to relax by the water and experience the Saint John River.

This was a beautiful stay! The description and the photos are highly accurate. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and allow for contemplation and rest for the soul. The fire pit and deck were both greatly enjoyed and the beautiful beach and ocean views never failed to stun. Sunrises were superlative and the indoor swing chair was well loved. Bedding was spotless and the mattress and pillows luxuriously comfortable. The host was responsive and booking and follow up was seamless. Overall, this was a wonderful stay and it is highly recommended. We hope to return.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible Airbnb. We can't recommend Hollie's cottage enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views. Each morning, we woke up to breathtaking sunrises that set the perfect tone for the day. The location is unbeatable—tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. We loved being able to explore the area while still having a tranquil retreat to. The property itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained. It felt like a home away from home, with thoughtful touches and all the amenities we could need. Hollie was welcoming and responsive, ensuring that our stay was seamless. Overall, this Airbnb exceeded our expectations in every way. We can't wait to return for a longer stay! Like other reviews, we also recommend Jonesport Pizza. Both, staff AND customers made it a very welcoming place. Great for breakfast, too!
