Located just a short drive north of NYC, nestled between Phonecia and Woodstock is a little cottage waiting to be discovered by you and your guests. Many have asked if this is a stand alone home, or part of another house on the property. You get this entire private oasis to yourself and your guests plus the 4 acres that come along with it for you to enjoy!
“Magnolia Cottage is adorable and comfortable. It is super clean and the host put in a lot of effort to make the stay comfortable for the guests - with very nice touches. The beds were super comfy and with nice linens. The kitchen is cosy, and very well equipped and we appreciated everything being clearly labeled. The house is located close to the Ashokan Reservoir and the new Ashokan Rail Trail - a real must - and is an easy drive to Woodstock and Phoenicia. Mark is a very responsive host.”
The Reservoir House is a historic Shokan property originally constructed in 1882 in the nearby Esopus Valley. Then, in 1905, one of the greatest engineering projects to date--the construction of New York City's oldest and deepest reservoir, the Ashokan--would displace the 12 towns in the valley. The Reservoir House was one of a handful of properties that were pulled out of the valley by teams of horses to establish new communities, each scratch in their foundations a reminder of their journey.
“Apartment 6 is a hidden gem! The space is very stylish and the kitchen was great. We cooked almost every night we were there. The apartment is very cozy and James makes sure you feel right at home. I will 100% be returning in the near future!”
Enjoy a rustic respite from the city in this cozy cabin on 3.5 acres near the beautiful Ashokan reservoir and Catskill Park. Perfect for a relaxing weekend and as a hub for skiing and hiking. Cabin includes 1 bedroom and one bath (both remodeled), full kitchen, and living room with piano. This is a perfect get-away to relieve the stress of the city.
“Don’t hesitate on booking this charming little spot. If you want a true cabin feel this is absolutely it. We came up for a few days to hike in the Catskills. The fire pit was awesome to sit by and enjoy some drinks and late night conversations after dark. We especially loved listening to a bunch of the records when we woke up to make breakfast or were cooking dinner. I had a question about check in because we didn’t have service and Jessica responded immediately. Id love to come back here for another getaway.”
