Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Just a short trip outside of town. Relax in an indoor hot tub over looking Lake Bistineau. There is a public boat launch within 1 min drive and dock at the house to tie boats off. 3 Fishing poles will be available for guest to use on the dock. The lake is excellent for Largemouth bass, Blue catfish, Freshwater drum, Channel catfish, Flathead catfish, Black crappie, White crappie and others. Fire pit in back yard along with grill to BBQ!

Watch deer, ducks, squirrels and birds from the living room. Eagles are known to fly over and catch fish from the lake as well. Fiber-optic internet for those that need to work while on vacation. 15-20 minutes from I-20 and I-49. Great place to stay for weddings held at venues in North Bossier as well.

Relax with the whole family at our quite spacious lake house getaway with all the beauty Louisiana has to offer, with mature cypress trees draped in spanish moss. Enjoy your own private boat launch that will take you into Blue Pond where you can fish, ski or just float with friends. You can also enjoy a separate game room with a carpet ball table and table to play games with the kids and adults. The chalkboard is also a hit with adults and children.

The Blue House on Cross Lake

This cottage was built circa 1926 on Cross Lake as the home for Lonnie Erwin who owned a catfish restaurant next to his home. Back in the day it was popular to drive up from Shreveport if they caught enough catfish to serve. The restaurant closed in the mid 1940s and it and the cottage fell into disrepair. We renovated the cottage and restaurant (also on Airbnb as The Red House on Cross Lake) and brought them up to date.
